  1. 3M has a new non-PVC vinyl

Just another thing to be "Certified" for: http://www.sgppartnership.org/ With the "green" movement in full stride, I could see more and more big companies and government agencies asking for some form of green initiatives to be demonstrated by their vendors. I've seen a few RFQs already from...
  2. Logo Vectorising

Here's a larger version of their logo, took about 10 seconds to search for it on their website. At the very least, it gives you a better "template" to start redrawing from. Weird... I guess Fred has the forum set up to resize the images. So here's an outside link (just a little larger)...
  3. Why is Clear application tape so hated?

I uses to use it, 'cause the customers could see the "true" colors of their decals through it. Then I started getting calls about how their decals were looking "cloudy" when applied, and in some cases they would complain that the whole decal didn't stick very well. Turns out, they weren't...
  4. Retroreflective vinyl?

ret·ro·re·flec·tive   [re-troh-ri-flek-tiv] adjective of or pertaining to a surface, material, or device (retroreflector) that reflects light or other radiation back to its source; reflective. It's the RETRO part that's important: light is returned in the direction from which it came.
  5. Conductive foil?

Back in March one of Gerber's employees said on another board: "First before you all get to excited it looks like we may be ending the “conductive” program. First the cost of the Conductive Silver is $15 a linear foot and then there is the cost of the polyester firm to print on. We have been...
  6. Gerber FX - Jamming Vinyl

I've had this happen a few times. Could only figure that it was the little "prongs" that stick out from the bail arm. I found that if the vinyl had to go back and forth a few times, the punched holes would have a tendency to elongate. If it was bad enough, one of those holes could (and would)...
  7. Show your rides?

2000 Silverado that I've had since new.
  8. 2nd color not in register!! Edge 2, Omega 5.0

Make the choke/spread greater? I've got mine set to 0.05in as a default. But I guess it depends on the size of the decals you're working with . Try at least 0.01.
  9. Graphic Standards Manual ...aka?

"Brand Guidlines" was the title of one I received the other day.
  10. Do you 'tag' your signs?

This is exactly why I do it. Have gotten several calls about signs that were made many years back that need to be re-made/replaced/wording changed. I also like the idea of the decal in the door jamb for vehicle graphics. Am going to start doing that. :goodpost:

  18. Freight Class for fridge magnets

Anyone know what Freight Class to use for fridge magnets? I'm trying to sort out shipping, but can't quite get my head around these freight classes.
  19. Edge not responding to print command

If you're using a USB cable, make sure that the USB information (in that same EDGE properties Window) is set correctly. If you hit the "list" button, you can see which cables are connected to your computer, and from there it's pretty simple to figure out the correct VID and PID for the cable...
  20. Edge not responding to print command

Are you using a parallel or USB cable?
