  1. Paper Trimmer?

I've got that - but in the 30" version (554 model). Love it. Is limited to about 5 - 6 sheets of backing paper, though.
  2. Trailer wrap design opinions

The stars along the top look upside-down.
  3. A little help finding this font, please?

I remember using it back in the 90s (I think the "S" gives it away). Anyone recall its name? Thanks, Chris
  4. Summa D75 R cutter

We've got a D140R here. Have had it for almost three years, and don't regret it at all. Cuts through reflective (3M 680CR) quite nicely. Have thrown several 50 yard rolls on, and had straight tracking from start to finish. No complaints whatsoever.
  5. Doming

How big are these tubes, 'cause if they're what I've been using (50 gram cartridges) you're paying way too much.
  6. For Sale: Edge, Edge 2, Omega, Envision 375 and 30" Mimaki Cutter

... nevermind. Didn't scroll down enough in the ad.
  7. Wet Application - Getting Bubbles!!!!!

Try applying more pressure with the squeegee.
  8. Retroreflective vinyl?

Gabagoo... check some suppliers from the 'States. Fellers, Grimco, Advantage, and Gregory all come to mind. Pricing (even including shipping) is generally much more favorable, and most of the suppliers a) have stock b) let you order less than a full roll.
  9. Helmet Wraps & Decals

I've been supplying customers with graphics made from Convex GearWrap for a few years now. Football/Hockey/Baseball/Lacrosse and the odd ATV. Not a single complaint from any of them, and plenty of return customers.
  10. Edge II pressure issue

    Print Head Data Cable? http://signs101.com/forums/showthread.php?t=101455
  11. Edge II pressure issue

Iv'e got the same issue, but it only appears when I print on LexEdge, and only when I'm printing a halftone or gradient. Solid prints are fine. Was wondering if it's fixable adjusting the "pressure" and "pressure cal" settings on the Edge. Anyone know what they do? The pressure setting has a...
  12. Material for Greasy/Oily surface?

I've got a customer that is looking to put decals on some containers around their facility. Problem is, most of the stuff they use, and the guys working with it are filthy and there's grease and oil and dirt all over the place. Can anyone suggest a material that might stick to things (paint...
  13. small vinyl cut decals

Gerber used to have a product bulletin about printing an "etched glass look" decal. I believe it suggested printing their Abrasion Guard or some other foil (maybe one of the tint/shades) onto 3M 220 clear.
  14. Kewl fading effect

    Helen Hunt?
  15. Gerber Venting....

^^ Take one of the shocks off and bring it to your nearest Napa parts store to match up with what they've got. They're about $15 each. (jhill beat me to it)
  16. Gerber Edge FX2 large deletion

How long are you letting the EDGE warm up for before you think it's too long? On a particularly cool day here it takes a while for the EDGE to warm up for the first run. Just timed it now, and it took almost two minutes until it was ready. For the wrinkling, I'm assuming you're "slewing" the...
  17. Thermal print fill and stroke issue

^ They mentioned using strokes. Make sure your filled shapes are set to overprint. I've also found that when printing smaller detailed stuff like this onto LexEdge, we get the best results (especially with the flood coat) if all prints have the setting set to DARKER in GSPPlot.
  18. Gerber Edge FX2 large deletion

A couple of us on here have dealt with it. Check out this thread: http://signs101.com/forums/showthread.php?t=101455
  19. Gerber Edge FX2 large deletion

My guess would be print head data cable. There are some built in print tests in the EDGE LE and EDGE II that don't require any computers to be hooked up to the printer. There must be some way to do that with the FX.
