  1. Question Value of Edge FX foils?

I never pay more than half of MSRP for "used" foils... prorated, of course. If a 50 yard foil sells for $150 at Grimco (or wherever), and there's only 25 yards left, I'm not paying more than ~$40 for it.
  2. Need Help Edge LE instructions to remove print head

Got this from someone on here years ago. Figure I'd return the favour.
  3. Gerber Edge FX Spotty Prints.

That spot black print looks like it’s just really shotty (pitted or dirty) vinyl. Sometimes, I find that if I’m near the end of a roll of vinyl (last couple of yards), it gets worse. That said, for the most part we use 3M 220 or 3M SC50, and rarely encounter this issue. The halftone prints...
  4. Help nationwide

Any time I’ve done (or been approached to do) work for out of town companies, they’ve insisted on a price per square foot. I’m talking window graphics, mall hoarding, museum displays, etc.
  5. Laser settings for cutting .060 styrene

Looking at cutting .060 Styrene on the laser for the first time. Anyone have settings they'd like to share that they're most successful with? I'm using a 75 watt machine, but have others at my disposal - should some of you have suggestions. Thanks in advance!
  6. Lease / Financing For Vehicle Wraps

I've dealt directly with the dealerships. I would invoice them for the work, and they would bury the cost (plus markup, I'm assuming) into the cost of the lease. Most larger dealers have fleet sales managers that are especially keen on this.
  7. Need Help Create Shipping Label In Omega

In excel, select your data. Then click on "Insert", and then "Pivot Table". you might have to fiddle with the pivot table options a bit. From there, it's just a matter of copying and pasting the one column into notepad (or whatever you're using).

  9. Edge printing "Dirty"

Are you using 'small text' (instead of just text)? It always comes out cleaner. Not sure why.
  10. reflective with a black outline

Like others have said: print it!
  11. Looking for a supplier for outdoor "board" displays

I've used iZone Imaging, custom high pressure laminate signs and graphics with great success.
  12. When I out to print or cut the print preview says its to large

I don't often use layers, so I may be way off base - maybe one of your other layers is larger than the 'chrome' layer that you show as selected?
  13. Gerber Edge 2 - white line i colorprints

    Print Head Data Cable
  14. Not accurate cut with Gerber Edge and Gsx Plus Plotter

    Here you go!
  15. problem when booting my envision

You could try opening it up and blowing the dust off. Then unplug and re-plug all connections.
  16. Not accurate cut with Gerber Edge and Gsx Plus Plotter

Have you calibrated your EDGE to your plotter?
  17. Not accurate cut with Gerber Edge and Gsx Plus Plotter

Clean the gum/adhesive off the teeth of the sprockets.
  18. 3m 180 white reflective 380I white reflective....what is the difference

You should give 3M 680 a try. Or even better - as in easier for your customer to install "bubble free" - 680 CR !!
  19. 3m 180 white reflective 380I white reflective....what is the difference

Are you talking about 280 vs 280i ? Gerber has discontinued 280i and replaced it with 280i Plus. You used to be able to just get 280 in White, but that is no longer an option. Maybe they got wise to all of us just buying 280 White instead of 280i ? I never noticed a huge difference...
  20. Foil Rips

You could try using Gerber's Flood Coat White - though I've found it to be too 'blotchy' and not great for small objects or text. I use Gerber's Arctic White. So much so, that I don't stock the 'regular' white anymore.
