I'm not getting repsonses from Colex themselves yet.
They offer two router bits, T00546 and T00547, which are described as leaving a polished finish on acrylic. We use lots of .25" and .375" acrylic and don't want to flame polish of chemically polish.
Are there other bits to recommend? I'd...
As true as this is, it's possible that the cost could be significantly less if printing panels on clear subtrate with white on back for opacity and ease of installation? Enough to change minds and still have a similar look.
What ended up being the solutiuon here? That's question 1. Question 2 is: how does estimating price this to capture the labor required? Do they have an understanding of the workflow?
So this is cut vinyl, and there's no printing involved. We're just cutting the letters and logo out of a 48" wide roll. They're 13" x 2" roughly, so I figured 3 across the 48". I have a 54" roll of transfer tape, which I could trim down to 48" to match the vinyl. Maybe we run the roll of vinyl...
We are low low volume Summa users, until a handful of decal jobs came through our shop. We have 1000 cut lettering decals, 13"w x 2"h, cutting out of Avery tangerine vinyl.
We can run through GoSign for the contour cutting, and even to final trim size, but how to best get them trimmed down to...
Your understanding is a little flawed. A minimum of 3 dots per sheet is required. The tighter the registration tolerance, the more dots are suggested, however for everything from an 11x17 toner printed sheet up to a 48x96" board, we standardize on 3 dots to conserve media space.

In the Colex support area on their website are some how to links, including "[How to] Setting the Cutting Parameters of the Knife Cutting Tools" which describes overcut compensation. Also there's a fresh thread on Reddit covering this topic on the Colex ""
We recently got the invite to purchase a service contract, after we encountered a problem that stopped us from printing. We didn't find them to be a good value, because the machine has been rock solid.
Instead we paid the $200 remote service fee to get counseling over the phone. The problem was...
We need some suggestions for workflow -and- tools when working with acrylic .375" to .5" thick 48x96" sheets. We almost exclusively do second surface printing with this substrate.
Clearly weight is a factor and the thicker it is the more it weighs. This weight problem can lead to issues loading...
Novice question: would LED not be easier to work with, in some ways? Would there be a case for restoring such a sign using LED strips as replacement/upgrade in capabilities?
Similar issue on our Latex 570. I lucked up on info about a second side adjustment, but that quickly I've lost the source of the info. Did you figure out anything for your printer?
