How does the yellow print on it's own? Try printing out a 6 inch solid block of yellow and see how it looks. This will let you know if it is a problem with the vinyl. It could be a bad batch of ink or as others suggest it could be the heater setting is too low and the inks are not blending properly

It could be temperature related. If there is a bad connection on the PCB sometimes very cold weather can cause them to shrink enough to disconnect, and when it warms up it makes contact. Very annoying to diagnose as it is so variable!

The setup sheet message in service mode is normal, also the heaters don't come on in service mode. The non starting in normal mode is likely down to a failed main board or servo board, both are weak points on the VS series printers

Yes, just remove them and put them back in when you are done. Sometimes you will find the printer will register them as being full again, but it will still give you the warning when they are actually getting empty

They are the ones that connect the hose to the ink dock. You will need to remove the covers that cover the ink docks and you will see where the hoses connect onto them. They are small brass nuts and the o ring is inside them

OK if you have ink leaking showing at your ink dock then that is where the problem is, and would be letting in air. It could be a hole in the ink line, or the o-ring and nut that connects the ink line to the dock needs replacing. You need to clean all of that off and see if you can see where ink...

I would try changing the manifold on the black / cyan head first. Whatever you do though don't buy the cheap chinese copy ones as they are crap, get a proper OEM one ( you can get them on ebay ) ! Also get new o-rings and nuts for the dampers. The leak is often at the o ring that seals the ink...

Ah ok that is probably why you are getting a problem. You will need to adjust it and try and get it back to the position it should be in. It is a bit trial and error doing this unless you can tell where it was from any dirt around the base

Also check the ink line joints as these are often where it clogs
