I have recently gone through the exact same issue. At this point, I've only quoted the signs and used Clarendon to get close. They also used Frutiger on some of the smaller text in our case, which apparently is also approved. Anyway Doug, if you're able to find a solution, please let me know.

If it generates repeat business as you have proven, then that's a plus. My concern is how much do you have to give away to generate X number of repeat customers. My sense is that there are probably more efficient ways to connect with new customers that doesn't require you to have a 75% off...

Good point. This one probably depends more on what position you're trying to fill. For the type of work we do, we've had better success with those that don't have previous sign experience.
