  1. replacement of the L25500

Any word on if they are improving the media loading/unloading and take up reel?

  3. How much for that HP L25500 in your sign shop?

I went to see one of these printers in action. The material loading/unloading would require us to make significant changes to our workflow/shop setup. The take up reel also seems to be especially cumbersome. I think we're going to stay on the sidelines a little longer.
  4. SPOTIFY invite

This works. I did it last night and just got an invite. Thanks!
  5. Who is the Largest Sign Company in the US, non-Franchise?

I'm skeptical of anything much less than $100k per employee.
  6. Who is the Largest Sign Company in the US, non-Franchise?

That comes out to $67,058 of gross revenue per employee at EverBright and $100,000 of gross revenue per employee at Mountain. What is your source? I'm not knocking it. I'm just curious.
  7. Anyone know? (Base and finial supplier)

Upon closer inspection, I can see that these don't match. (there's a better shot of the finials here: http://www.opptc.com/newcat/catalogue.html on page 25) Alas, no corn dogs for me.
  8. Anyone know? (Base and finial supplier)

http://www.opptc.com/wholesale/catalogue.html Click on page 9 Is that a match? If so, I like ketchup only on my dogs.
  9. Websites on iPad

Joe, I apologize for oversimplifying. I don't have the technical expertise or investment in said expertise that you possess. I can appreciate how frustrating this must be and did not intend to paint Flash designers as unscrupulous in any way. My point of view on this is only of a company who...
  10. Websites on iPad

Great discussion and insights. Regarding jailbreaking - I bought my iPad on woot.com as a refurbished model so there is no moral delimma for me to do this as there is no warranty. My problem is that I'm just not confident/technical enough to do it. My guess is that there are quite a few other...

  12. Websites on iPad

Sorry. I should have. Is it a deliberate/calculated decision that web designers are making to include features that will be functional on Flash enabled devices while knowing full well that these sites will be incomplete on devices like iPads? Is it ignorance, a game of chicken with the...
  13. Websites on iPad

I bought an iPad a few weeks ago and it has quickly become my web surfing device of choice when I'm away from the office. I've been somewhat surprised by the lack of functionality/usability of otherwise very well designed sites from very respected web design firms. What gives?
  14. MImaki BOOTS but hen says close a cover!!!!

Don't listen to a thing that hen says. She's a real mother clucker.
  15. Who is the Largest Sign Company in the US, non-Franchise?

$40k of gross revenue per employee? I hope that this is incorrect, for Munn's sake.
  16. How much for that HP L25500 in your sign shop?

I know I probably need to let it go but I still haven't forgiven Roland for the ColorCamm PC-60 yet.
  17. How much for that HP L25500 in your sign shop?

I realize that I'm encouraging the hijacking of my own thread by responding, but... My interest in the printer is that we won't have to worry about solvent fumes in our workplace and we won't have to wait for prints to outgas. My understanding is that the color gamut is wider than the...
  18. How much for that HP L25500 in your sign shop?

We're looking at the HP L25500 and I'm curious what others have paid, what they received for that price, when they purchased and who from. Is that asking too much? I'm not a very tough negotiator so it would be helpful to have some kind of baseline.
  19. Hey if you guys aren't doing this yet you should be.

Our local postmaster is pushing this program(Every Door Direct Mail) but I'm getting different info from him regarding approved sizes. He's telling me that the only size I can send is 8.5" x 11". That it has to be card stock and that it can weight up to 3.3 oz (which would be about 7 sheets in...
