    Wow! Very nice!
  2. Screen Printing Street Signs

I would be surprised if you could make them for what you could buy them for at a wholesale price.
  3. It looks just like Penumbra Half Serif but...

Luckily I'm on Win XP also. I just downloaded ATM Lite(free) and it was a snap(once I knew what to do!)
  4. It looks just like Penumbra Half Serif but...

You're exactly right! I ended up finding the architects spec's. It was Penumbra MM 450/750. After buying the font from fonts.com, I "created an instance" in Adobe Type Manager using the 450 and 750 settings which essentially created a new font that I installed. This is the first time I've...

I finally found it. It's Penumbra MM.
  6. It looks just like Penumbra Half Serif but...

It's not contoured. I'm absolutely stumped.
  7. It looks just like Penumbra Half Serif but...

Thanks for looking at it, Fred. Elan is very close also but the A is too tall and there are other subtle differences. I'm going to take try contouring one of the thinner Penumbra's.
  8. It looks just like Penumbra Half Serif but...

This one looks like a perfect match for Penumbra Half Serif but the letter thickness just doesn't work out. Of the ones I've found: http://new.myfonts.com/fonts/linotype/penumbra-half-serif/ Penumbra Half Serif Standard Regular is the closest. But each one is either too thin or too thick and...
  9. FastTrac Growth Venture Update

That dude was nuckin'futz! Reminded me of another guy, sjm, who would bounce into threads just to stir it up.

I think this is a fantastic investment of your time. Thanks for sharing!

You probably could stand on them. I'd probably lay down some plywood first just to be safe. Fortunately, we don't have any large trees close by so leave are not an issue. I haven't trekked up there when we've had snow. My sense is that there's not much I can do to about that one. I'll...

That's not a bad deal but remember that you'll still need to pay for shipping, install, racking and the other things not included in the kit. You'll need to spend well over $20k more. Check out sunelec.com. They have some really good package deals also.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm no "genus" but I can do math and would at least run a spell check on any message questioning some one else's intelligence. I had 13,200 watts of solar panels installed with inverters, combiner boxes, cables, racking, shipping, etc for 40k COMPLETE. That's $3...

Dude, do you need a hug? Somebody give Rob a hug, he's feeling a little cranky. So let's talk more about why microinverters rock but just didn't fit for my project. With mono-crystalline panels, the output is typically pretty high per panel. Maybe 180 watts plus. You string them bad boys...

C - I used thin film panels. As a solar expert, I'm sure you're aware that these panels can only be put in strings of 4(sometimes 5 depending on climate) before having to be run back to the inverter or in my case, the combiner box and then the inverter. For the non solar experts out there...

I didn't investigate it because "grid tie" was available to us and we don't traditionally have power outages in our area(I'm in Central Virginia). Not to say it wouldn't be beneficial but we just weren't in the position to spend anymore than we absolutely had to.

It's hard to say. I've not yet invested in the equipment necessary to record output in real time. Right now, I have to go to the inverter to get the data and even then I can only see current output and overall output. I track the total output each month so I CAN tell you that my wintertime...

It absolutely would NOT have been viable for me to do it without incentives. BTW, if this thread turns political it will have to be moved. If you'd like to explore that end of the project further, it's probably best to do so in the NHB version of this thread that's here...

$40k. The state rebate came after we could prove the system was up and running.

The original post on this topic took a political slant and (understandably) had to be moved. I wanted to repost it here (in Think Green) because I know some folks don't subscribe to NHB. If you have NHB comments, please fire away but do it here...
