  1. Need Help Help milling alupanel

Pardon if I say it, but I find it odd reading that anyone has a problem with routing ACM. We use standard 2-flute cheap chinese 1/8" upcut end mills, and have for the last 14 years. Our router is ancient, so we nurture it a bit, but 35mm/sec at full depth, single-pass, I can't recall having a...
  2. HP Latex 260 - printheads question

Well done - looks like it's fixed!
  3. HP Latex 260 - printheads question

head #1 with light cyan is kaput... Constant head cleaning of just C/LC may help. Remove the head & clean the contacts at the back of where the head sits (cotton & isopropyl alcohol wipe) or replace the head #1 with another head. Sometimes in the rip, you can apparently tell it to do...
  4. Costing Spreadsheet

Calculate your anual overheads, and depreciation, and divide that by 45 weeks and divide that by 4 productive days and divide that by 6 productive hours, to get a base cost of overhead per hour. Then add wages, time, profit, restocking, and double materials cost as a minimum.
  5. HP Latex 360 Printer cost per square foot?

How different are the head cleaning cartridge trays between the L260 and the 360 ? (I'm wondering if the fabric roll can be transferred from a 360 to a 260?) Thanks for any thoughts.
  6. How to Enlarge shutterstock images for large wall murals

Topaz Gigapixel AI is terrific, I find. However I often only use the 2x enlargement. It sharpens what needs preserving, blurs that which is blurry, and removes pixellation.
  7. Window Frosting (Application)

Be grateful it's relatively inexpensive to redo... and be hopeful it's the last time.
  8. What are you doing with your 25500/26000s?

OK, thanks. Funnily our L260 started to die - I was told the hard drive was failing. IN the end I swapped out the mainboard for another mainboard I had on a donor machine we'd bought for spares. 1. It boots up MUCH more quickly. 2. I gave up trying to tell it from the console, what the media is...
  9. What are you doing with your 25500/26000s?

Which model is giving you problems? (I'm still nurturing out L260 till I use up the 25 ink cartridges I have - and I like the machine.)
  10. Window Frosting (Application)

My thoughts are the same as a few days ago - pull it off and redo it afresh and get it right. You won't repair it now.
  11. Window Frosting (Application)

Bubbles? Strip the frosting off throw it away, and do it afresh - with more experience and no bubbles this time. None. You can't leave them there to be popped. I use an application fluid with a whisker of glycerine in it that works well - slippery but not frothy.
  12. HP L26500 repeated printhead installation error

How about removing then reinserting the 2 ink cartridges that feed the head it thinks is bad? Have you had a mouse plague? I bloke here had his L260 vacuum lines eaten into by mice - and the data cables also. I gave him spares I had.
  13. HP L26500 repeated printhead installation error

Can you maybe be daring, and remove all six, then wait for it to ask you to reinstate them, and maybe trick it into not realising what it previously ignored.
  14. How to calculate cutting vinyl time and price ??

Exactly... the per letter charge I find a bit too awkward - Umpteen rows of text are not going to change in vinyl used or wasted vinyl, if suddenly they do not need an S or an I in two words, and then request a discount... Price also depends on vinyl used - I will not use the 700 series...
  15. How to calculate cutting vinyl time and price ??

    Minimum charge $100.
  16. Font ID...Why are bad fonts the hardest to find?

'Bad fonts' ? Please explain... Spend a bit of time learning!
  17. Window Frosting (Application)

I prefer Metamark frosting. I have used Avery and 3M, and found them expensive and tougher to use. I keep a 50m roll of Metamark on hand. However, if putting it on as a whole sheet, I use no app tape - just wet the frost, the glass, and plonk it on, slide it square, and squeegee the slippery...
  18. What is a used HP Latex 110 Printer worth

I piggy-back short pieces to bigger roll substrates, held in place with blue masking tape. You have to be aware of the shortfalls, but when you need to use a piece for whatever reason, there are workarounds for the problems. But you will need to be creative - or tape a scrap leading and...
  19. Onyx 12 users and HP 360 owners

Thanks! Gee it's a small file, compared with the L25500 and L260 Prinst files!
  20. Clear vs Optically Clear

Yes, 'double sided adhesive' will be a pain and a waste of effort and material and extra cost. Just print a reversed image on ordinary clear self adhesive vinyl or laminate.
