  4. Equipment Redundancy - Bad idea to rely on one printer?

This is poor effort on their behalf. It's a shame the service there isn't anywhere as good as it's here. Im not one for redundant printers as cost of ownership doubles. but if you have no choice, then its your only option.

Onyx has a 30 day free trial. I suggest trying it out. Its fully functioning with 2 printer licences. Peoples opinions are to bias when they've only used 1 software for a long time and haven't used both simultaneously. In a well managed print shop, you should be using 1 RIP for all printers...

  15. Suggestions Website, sales, marketing...etc

We use OnPrintShop. Best move we've done. We've used wordpress, tried 100x different plugins but with OPS, it has allowed us to grow faster. It is a SaaS solution, and gets expensive. but it's designed for selling print. But it really depends what your business sells. If it's just print...

  19. Thrive

only downfall with onyx ripping. is the RIP Engine uses the same CPU cores as the main application. So while Ripping, thrive runs slow so you can't actually do other tasks. We only have 4 RIPS / 2 printer licences, but when ripping 50-100 files at once. the PC is using 4 cores/8 threads, while...

What's your end goal? Because it sounds like a whole lot of not going to happen. Printers need a RIP to sent files to them. what you want to do is integrate your RIP to what ever downstream software you're running. We just use Enfocus Switch, pitstop server etc to do all this. Connect our...
