  2. Ditching cable TV

Cutting loose February 1. We were talking about our budget one night and I jokingly mentioned dropping cable. That led to the conversation about what we actually watch and quickly realized that other than me watching football nobody in the house actually watched television. We've been paying...
  3. Applying a Sticker to Corrogated Iron

Take a 12" wide section of roofing, cover it with transfer tape. Pull the transfer tape off and measure it. There's your formula.
  4. Sign Shop on CNBC's "The Profit"

If he'd posted that here with a "How much should I charge?" tag he'd have gotten people telling him that he should be charging at least that much, a couple of people would have posted pictures of similar jobs and claimed they get $950 for them, and OP would have chimed in and told everyone that...
  5. Sign Shop on CNBC's "The Profit"

True, and he may be a peckerhead, but he's surrounded himself with people who know how to make signs and his business is on track to do $700,000 this year. The ridiculous interaction with the Treasure Island owner they showed? He still sold them that monument sign.
  6. Can a city, town etc... bar you from using your trademarked logo or logotype?

So according to the Langham Act they can't tell you to change your logo but they can tell you that you can't use it if it doesn't conform. Sounds about typical.

Had a designer at an ad agency send me a 72 dpi web capture picture wanting me to blow it up to 4' x 8'. Told them I needed a higher resolution. They stretched the 72 dpi picture to fit a 4' x 8' and saved it at 1200 dpi.
  10. Why yes.... I did 2

I cut a large Harley Davidson logo for a casket once. It's the only HD logo I've ever done....I figured if they wanted to find me and sue me they were going to have to dig it up and bring it to court.
  11. Jeep Wrangler graphics or wraps you've created

Both of those require lots of maintenance.
  12. Cheap budget logo design critique

It's not technically a logo....it's a design with her name in it that I'm using on the side of a truck. And it is a bunch of stock images modified, twisted, cut and spliced together, weights adjusted, points deleted....then just stuck together. the styles weren't supposed to match, just not...
  13. Cheap budget logo design critique

Literally a women's clothing store on wheels. Apparently they're becoming a pretty big thing. Of course it also sounds like a scene from a bad horror movie where the two cheerleaders step into the sketchy looking truck, the doors slam shut, and the next thing they know they're sex slaves in...
  14. Cheap budget logo design critique

Working on an image to use in the place of a logo on a wrap we're doing. Budget won't allow for custom illustrations or long, drawn out design sessions. What I'm trying to get to is loose, hip, southern chic, and happy without going to stereotypical hipster fonts and designs (yes, admittedly I...

  18. Is there a way to auto nest multiple objects inside one shape?

That's perfect! I had to compound out the outline to get it to work but that's exactly what I was after. Thanks!
  19. Is there a way to auto nest multiple objects inside one shape?

I'm trying to avoid having to do that 6000 times.
