  1. Vehicle Wrap - Looking for Feedback Critique

Actually yes I have heard of G7. And have a master certified g7 profiler coming here soon to finish up our g7 certification. I’m an onyx certified profiler as well, so I am familiar with all of this. But hey, if you want to keep designing in CMYK, go for it, you are just limiting the colors...
  2. Vehicle Wrap - Looking for Feedback Critique

VanderJ, that is not correct as to the designing in CMYK. You will have a larger printable gamut when designing in RGB. When you design in CMYK, you are losing colors that our printers will reach. Design in RGB and allow the rip to bring in the colors to what is obtainable. I understand why...
  3. Suggestions Wrapping Bumpers

    Avery sw900
  4. What kind of material do you use to put clear wraps on sports cars?

As previously stated. It’s called PPF. Many companies make it. Xpel, suntek, 3m, Avery, oracal, hexis, and others. Precut are easy in the fact that you don’t have to stock expensive rolls in different sizes. Especially when just starting out. You also won’t have to purchase cut templates...
  5. Weird Question

Like previously said, if you wanted to get a little creative with it, use 3m metallic printable film with solvent or latex. Or we did one recently, printed with latex on Avery diamond silver, with lam. This way the silver areas really sparkle. You couldn’t do it with solvent though as it isn’t...
  6. Weird Question

Nothing special about it. Digital print media with gloss overlam. Avery 1105 with 1360 would work just fine
  7. How much heat can Avery/3M vinyl withstand?

Is it an insulated smoker? Many competition smokers are, and are not hot at all on the outside. Most smokers are also going to cook at 250 or less also. Reflective vinyl has a higher heat tolerance, which is why it is commonly used on brake calipers and in higher heat applications.
  8. Suggestions 3M Di Noc Install Pricing?

We normally charge $5-$6 for Normal walls and such with dinoc, with ceiling, and at least 2 guys, I wouldn’t touch it for less than $10 a square
  9. Hand Carved Signs

    Amazing. Love the work!
  10. General formulations auto mark vs Avery or 3M 2ml question

The automark laminate will shrink A LOT! We did some decals with it, and had the laminate shrink over 3/4” all the way around. Some of the GF materials we like. That one, no thank you.
  11. Let's see your own company vehicle wraps and graphics!

Here is the old wrap on the same truck.
  12. Question auto wrap, door edges cut or wrap?

As others have said if color change, wrap the little more. If commercial, angle blade away from door and cut flush. Will give you just enough with the angled blade to cover most all the existing color
  13. Textured Surface Tools

You can use a foam 6” paint roller. Can’t get it as hot as the 3m roller, but it will work at a much lower cost even if you replace the roller every so often
  14. Is there a good app for sign-makers workflow?

With trello, everyone on the staff uses it. Different boards for different departments. Most all communication can go right on each card so it stays with the job. Notifications can be turned on so you know when something if added to a card you are working on. If you decide to implement it...
  15. Is there a good app for sign-makers workflow?

Another +1 for Trello. I think it is about the best thing organization wise we have ever implemented for both my company and myself personally. And it’s free.
  16. Anyone else having trouble with shutterstock?

All I use is the chrome browser, and it has been glitchy at times lately. Good news is, it’s working currently!
  17. Anyone else having trouble with shutterstock?

    YES. Been very glitchy lately
  18. wrapping rubbermaid type material....

Do an adhesion test and see. Coat an area with the primer, slap some carbon on, and see how well it adheres. On a side note, how much do you usually charge to wrap those things? And how long do you have in it?
  19. Wrapping a trailer with... nothing

3m 1080 in gloss white or my preference is Avery sw900 in gloss white. Both are pre laminated cast materials. No need to take screws out if there are any. Then overlay logos on top. Quick and easy
