  1. small runs of stickers not laminated...suggestions

Try general formulations concept 222. Works great for this exact thing. Print & cut, set dry time to 5 min in versaworks, cut full bleed with no curling. The material is 6mils thick, and have had no issues doing this. It's a pretty inexpensive material to.
  2. Installation Conundrum.....................

Is it a digging issue? Or nothing in the ground issue? If it is just a digging issue, you can get the poles driven in. I had some 6x6's driven in with a mini kubota track hoe. Has the vibrating plate on it. Just cut a point on them with the chainsaw, and drive right in. It only took about...
  3. Need help on changing color for a brick wall.

3m's IJ8624 if I'm not mistaken is just for rough surface walls and such.
  4. Need help on changing color for a brick wall.

You could wrap the brick. It will keep all the same texture just a different color. I think the problem with putting a substrate on it will be all the little pieces that stick out further than others. You will have to build a frame of some type that is level and gives you something to attach...
  5. mirror chrome vehicle wrap

It really wasn't that bad. The flat areas went on fine, then on the curves like between the cab and bed, we just removed the transfer tape, and applied without it. This way we could stretch it a little when we needed to. That is pretty much how we did all of the curved areas. Like i said...
  6. mirror chrome vehicle wrap

Here is the only one I have. The name stands out well at night, but the front and back white overlays look just random. Wish I had thought out the night view more than I did.
  7. mirror chrome vehicle wrap

This is my truck for the shop. It's a matte black wrap, with Avery blue chrome and white reflective overlays. We laminated the chrome. It is tougher to work with than regular vinyl, but you just have to get used to its properties and limitations. I know everyone might not like the design...
  8. RVW hangs when ripping a Tiff

Your welcome. Glad I could help...I know the feeling when your stuck
  9. RVW hangs when ripping a Tiff

I had some issues a couple years ago when doing in 16 bit also. Have you tried the same file saved in 8 bit?
  10. Black Body Digital Dryer

We have a couple of them that we use on our Roland's everyday. They work really well, and I can't be happier with them.
  11. what is this camo

Check out auroragraphics.net they have many camo patterns that you can print
  12. Non-laminated vinyl application problem

Well first if you MUST install Unlaminated vinyl, you have got to let it out gas for at least 24 hours on most all vinyls. Those inks will just soften it so much, that it makes it next to impossible to install well. Then after our gassing, install a premask to keep it from stretching and the...
  13. How to trim the edge border from roll to roll

Flat even Cutting table, razor knife like an olfa snap off, long ruler with non-slip on bottom such as the ones from image impact.
  14. Plywood Outdoor Sign

I agree, I think the round table discussions are a great idea. Love doing those at trade shows and such. Everyone should always be learning new ways to do things and how to make themselves better at there craft, whatever it may be. At least I try to.
  15. Need a Sign that will be pulled down daily

I've got a friend that owns another sign shop in the area, who does more photography style work, and he buys the mesh shades, takes them apart, and prints on the mesh on his Roland printer. Looks really good, and is just a retractable shade blind. Might give that a try.
  16. Open hood SALE signs?

I've never had anyone ask for larger ones. I think the same 4mm would work just fine though. I would imagine it also depends on the type of vehicle they are going in as to which you would need. They just sit on like the radiator area, and by the hook for the hood latch on the hood. The idea...
  17. Open hood SALE signs?

We make quite a few. We make them 2x3, 4mm Coro. Flutes just need to go vertically so it doesn't get the crease it it, then won't stay in place well.
  18. window perf on vehicles lifting off!!!

If I was doing contour cut perf, I would set 2 cut paths, one around actual design then the other about 1/4" off that. Print, and inner contour cut, then weed. Then laminate, then outer countour cut, then transfer tape and install. This will give you a 1/4" or whatever size of laminate all the...
  19. Sign van!

We got the dodge 2500 promaster with the extended height option, not the normal height as you have pictured. I'm 6'4" and I can stand in ours easily, so I would say it's about 6'6"-6'8" inside. We get about 17 mpg in ours. I'm looking to upfit it some in the near future as more items are...
  20. Sign van!

We bought one of the 2500's with tall roof when they came out back in January and love it! The deck is lower than that of like the transits and sprinters so it's much easier to get in and out of as well as loading material. It's about a 6" lower deck because it's front wheel drive. It's...
