I just bought four graftec 8600-130 cutters for 10 grand, and they are in pristine condition.
These graftec cutters are almost bullet proof.
Started out with the 60's but they burn up quick, that's why I use my old 45's from vinyl cutting.
Now that I have six graftec 8600's and a 9000
I have plenty of used blades.
I attach a thin sheet of corrugated cardboard, ridges facing down.
Printed and cut two 50' rolls today.
I only have six rolls left and ordered another 30 rolls which will be here in 12 to 16 weeks.
Glad I look into the future and not waiting till the last hour.
I print directly to the magnet material..
I load a 50' roll of 30" magnet material on my Roland XR640 and start sending jobs.
Each roll yields 650 + - pieces 3.50 x 5.0
I cut it all on a graftec fc2250 within five minutes after printing or I set it up and print roll to roll and cut it all the...

I deleat all print and cut jobs after I cut the jobs the next day.
I print 30" rolls of magnet material on my Roland XR-640 then cut it down on my Graftec FC-2250.
In the past month I have printed and cut 17 - 50' rolls of magnet material with no problems.
I've been printing for about 40 years now and have figured out to use my machines for what are designed for.
If your customers need post cards, farm the job out to a trade printer like 4over or Printing for resale.
You can make alot more money on the job and keep your customers happy by getting...
Depends on the thickness of your vinyl, are you cutting on the strip or in the channel.
I channel cut everything and use 6 mill vinyl on decals and 3 mill vinyl on premasked decals.
Take the file to Office Depo, get ten sheets of ten up on C1S Coated Cover stock, that will give you 100 cards to hold them over same day so you have time to get their final job done.
I do this three times a week for clients who forget to order until last minute.
If you disable the switch put in a small togel switch, so when you have a media jam or anything else and it instructs you to open cover you can flip the switch off.
I always leave my blade in the front position, (channel cut) I have never cut on the cutting strip.. No matter what I'm cutting. Kiss cut, Perf cut or straight thru cut.
It's all in the set up of your Graftec cutter.
I cut today what I printed yesterday from Two Seiko W-64 and Two Roland XR-640...
