  1. Utility box wraps

The ones with the round post were our first pilot project with the company. They've been up 8 years now and looks just as good as the day we put them up. They've gotten graffitid a few times... And all it takes is one of their guys to wipe it down with alcohol and it goes away. They said...
  2. Utility box wraps

https://photos.app.goo.gl/aSgimEEH1p748Cur5 Heres a few random ones I've done in the past few years. Nowadays I'm not the one wrapping them... But there's some close ups of key areas, as well as before / afters. I suggest go in with pricing anti graffiti and make sure you spec it... If your...
  3. Utility box wraps

We do 40-50 of these a year. They always open the boxes for us and you can wrap around. Generally you don't remove handles - there will be a cut to get past them, but they don't care. The utility companies don't care if they look pretty or not, they're buying wraps because it's a cost...
  4. FB500 / FB550 Extension Tables - Anyone have any?

Grimco in Vancouver has 2 fb500s with extension tables they're selling - have you tried to reach out to them to see if they'll part it?
  5. 30" Cast Laminate

As mentioned grimco will cut it. What material are you using? technically reflective glass bead isn't a cast...Maybe the vehicle wrap stuff is, but the other signage is made a different way and its not labeled a cast or a calendared (At least for 3M?) Not saying to use the cheapest overlam on...
  6. 3rd parties

One of my biggest customers is a print broker. She used to be a sales rep for a print company, then they shut down...and she started her own business where all she does is be a broker between her clients and someone else. So she had a leg up and already has a ton of clients... Not just...
  7. HPL560 Head Carriage Belt broke... maybe in market for an upgrade to 700 Series

How handy are you? Honestly... If you can take a car apart to do wraps, you can do your own belt replacement. I believe it's like a $100-200 part... It took me an hour to do it myself and was super easy. You uncrew both sides of the printer, slip the belt through a d there's an adjustment...
  8. Onyx cut line issue

No deal for my printer, I bought it a year after I bought my printer because I couldn't stand using Flexi. If I recall correctly there was a extra trading bonus at the time it was a limited deal, I believe it only gave like $500 off in addition to the trade. My invoice doesn't list any of that...
  9. Onyx cut line issue

I'd call Grimco and ask. Thrive was a 2k purchase for me - it was a switchover special from Flexi. I was doing $50 a month license and saved a ton by "canceling" it ended up being cheaper than upgrading an old license
  10. Onyx cut line issue

Alright... so I cant say with 100% confidence since I'm only doing print to file, but it looks like onyx 22 has fixed the issue! I was setting up the new printer in anticipation of it arriving tomorrow and realized I can print to file, since i cant connect to the IP of the printer anyway - I...
  11. Need Help FC9000 barcode cutting upside down?

There is a f on the end of the barcode - that side needs to be at the front of the plotter and you should be fine. If you're reading the barcode via the barcode function, it should auto rotate to the correct way though - im pretty sure there's no way to change that
  12. Onyx cut line issue

You'd think. I was using onyx 22 and just saw canucks using 12.. so it's been there awhile. I thought it was related to the new fc9000 graphtec, but I guess it's cutter wide! For 19 at least, I can confirm if you take auto rotate off it works fine. Most of my jobs are big... So I just have...
  13. Direct Print By the Piece Coro?

I mean, you can lease a printer for a few hundred a month... Starting up isn't hard, it's getting the clients and keeping them that's the hard part. Why not buy a cheapo latex for 8k and just do it in house? If your shipping is abysmal because you don't ship enough try a ship site. I hear...
  14. Onyx cut line issue

It is a bug with Onyx and they've known about it for a long time and haven't fixed it. I haven't tested the newest newest version yet, but I spent a week going back and forth and diagnosing with them and they can reproduce it every time, it's been a few months and they still haven't fixed it...
  15. Hp700 + "wasted lead"

Yup. Sucks all the way back! I know when weoad our traffic it says to use some lead. I'm thinking that option will prevent it from sucking all the way back. Unless our machines just broken... But I doubt it. It's actually nice, less wasted materials and so far no jams
  16. Winter real estate signs

Haha. Honestly I'd be more than happy to. But if his real estate clients are anything like ours, they want it tomorrow and they want it for half the amount it costs you to make it... Let alone ship them to another country, with how heavy they are. If I were closer or it made sense for him...
  17. Hp700 + "wasted lead"

Anyone on the new hp700 firmware? My operator was complaining that it keeps sucking the media back. Whenever he loads a new material... If he extends it past the heater, the moment he hits print it sucks it all the way back in right to the edge :roflmao: I've been using it today... And sure...
  18. Winter real estate signs

That's the good thing about the winter feet as well... We designed them because the mountains cities we send it to have such hard ground in the winter that they can't pound the stakes into the ground. The feet give it a ton of durability and it just sits on-top of the ground. Our normal...
  19. Winter real estate signs

Do you do your own in-house fabrication? We make lawn frames out of steel, they're way sturdier than the pre-made stuff you can buy. He also have a lot of customers that use them in the snow, and we have an add-on we call winter feet. It makes it sturdy so when snow does get plowed into them...
  20. Question ORACAL 751 070 Gloss Black Out of stock everywhere?

3m was having issues with black too. Which of course made Avery go out of stock... Seems to be better for the two of them, 3m gets made once a month now and they just make enough to fulfill their backorders. Something about the pigments for black, I guess it's now affecting oracal as well...
