Floor decals are not meant to be long term. Most will say about 6 months at the most. You can use the 3645 laminate but I would go with a stronger adhesive on the vinyl. But the 3645 at around $1.90 a sqft cost ($1,300/roll) will probably make the decals to expensive for a school. Also...
have you ever printed out a color chart? I do not mess with color settings in the RIP. If you print out a color chart you can pick the colors off of that to use in your art.
There is a sign stick that has a level on it and you set it to the height of the sign. Literally takes less than a minute to install a sign and every sign will be the exact same height. Not sure where we got ours as that was forever ago but MBS standoffs sells one. Set the height then hold...
Yes you could but the print wont last as long. Those buses are not treated nicely. The biggest issue is removal. without lam the removal could be a PITA. The only thing we do not laminate off our HP Latex outside of posters and banner is when someone wants a dirt cheap decal/sticker. On a...
I print a ton of banner on our HP 560 and there is not scuffing like that when we go to stitch them. I would think the ink is under cured if your having that problem.
We don't worry about ink usage per job when quoting. You should kind of know what your cost is and pad in your margin and we do a single cost per square foot which includes the ink and material. We don't worry if 1 cart will be enough as you should always have back up ink ready to go as we...
with eco solvent anything you do outdoors should be laminated in all reality any vinyl printed eco solvent should be laminated. If your not going to laminate you will need to apply vinyl on top of the HIP.
38" roll and we print 36" banner all day on it. I can say on that qty I outsource them and spend my time doing other things. I can get banner at $1.15/ft finished with hem and grommets so to me it is not worth doing that qty in house.
I guess you can keep wasting time and ink and keep doing cleaning on the heads and hope they come back. The only real solution right now is to replace all the heads and write it off as a learning experience.
Not sure if that printer can print percentages but color/white/color is the best for backlit signage. On our flatbed UV printer we print the color pass that will be closest to the light at 40%. Gives a perfect daylight print adn doesnt wash out at night when the lights kick on.
you could build something that sandwiches them between two pieces. Then you would have to figure out a way to mount it with pins to register it. Rolling them in large quantities wont work as there is no way to get them all to rotate the same. When we do double sided we charge quite a bit more...
That's just a simple wall nameplate holder i believe we get ours from Johnson Plastics. Never tried to sheer them as that would bend the small tabs on the front over I would think. We always cut ours down if needed with a table saw.
UV DTF is not the same as DTF for garments. UVDTF is printed using a UV printer then the adhesive is applied. I have done quite a few of these using an A+B film and it works great, a clear coat is printed on top for protection. I have applied them to YETIO tumblers and have lasted a long...
Our standard foam core stock is UltraMount as it is more rigid than standard foam core. Most of the time we do these on coroplast though as it is cheaper. On the larger ones we dont do a stick. Smaller ones we use paint stick applied to the back. We print full sheets then cut with our Zund.
