Well that's exciting. (Colorado with white - just to be clear what I'm excited about given the other posts............)
I wonder when they'll make the official announcement and start rolling them in out in North America. Would be a perfect replacement for our UCJV with white.
I personally wouldn't, assuming your XR-640 is still running well.
We have one (XR-640) and won't be getting another Roland after this one. We started off with an XC-540 then got this one a few years ago, and they've been pretty solid but I don't like the way they're going with those TrueVis...
We recently had something like this happen. Dealing with a new guy at an existing client's location. Super chatty/annoying/inappropriate/irritating kind of guy that seemed like he was off his rocker. Over the span of a week and several (useless) phonecalls, he told me no less than 5 times...
What does your white nozzle check look like?
Doesn't look like the white is laying down a solid layer and the overprinted colors are reflecting that.
Black will look better because it's just darker/more opaque.
If white nozzle check is fine, try slowing head speed way down or increasing...

I've had this happen a couple times and just went to reset/delete tiles, then increase media width, then let er rip. Manually adjusting tiles like you've noticed can...

Some cool new features in plot that I like but honestly we'll probably never upgrade beyond this. Only did it due to OS/equipment compatibility issues.
As long as we can open...
The lesson here is don't answer phone calls when you're in Mexico on holidays! Lol.
I don't know what I would say if a customer would make a comment about me taking holidays, but it would probably start with "go pound" and end with "sand".
Ah, sorry! Was worth a shot. There must be some kind of sensor or contact switch there that is malfunctioning or shot.
Hope you can find someone to get it looked after. Good luck!
We had something similar happen on our older S140T. It doesn't recognize when the rollers are all the way down but will lose the "insert media" message when the lever is 2/3 of the way down.
I just shoved a shim in there and it works.............might be worth a shot. (It stops the pinch...
