  1. Keeping CNC/Flatbed cutter parts and consumables organized

Oooh that's nice and clean, thanks for sharing. We actually have a tool box right on our workbench that we could potentially use.
  2. Keeping CNC/Flatbed cutter parts and consumables organized

Thanks for the info. I definitely agree, a "real" dedicated CNC would be ideal but not in the cards (monies or footprint) for now.....so we're stuck with the flatbed cutter that pretends to be a cnc. No G code to be seen on this thing (not that I would know how to program it if it did) but...
  3. Thin gauge metal plaques...printed?

This probably won't be much help since they're in Canada........................but this is the company we use for aluminum plates: https://www.macnameplate.com/products/nameplates/ They do plates for us almost exactly like the one in your picture, minus the mask.
  4. Print banding & burn marks Printing from flexi

Looks like a combination of ink starvation and media buckling to me. First picture (ink starvation) Second picture (media buckling) This is assuming first picture is scan direction and second picture is feed direction. Was this only noticed once it was installed on the vehicle or............?
  5. Keeping CNC/Flatbed cutter parts and consumables organized

Right, makes sense. The v-cut tool caught my eye and that's all I saw lol.
  6. Wrapping restaurant tables, material recommendation

You could use a high-tack vinyl w/ some sort of polycarbonate/lexan laminate....makes a pretty damn bulletproof decal for the top anyways. You'd have to trim back from the edge of the table and maybe use a seal-it pen or similar around the edge. We've used this and it's solid...
  7. Keeping CNC/Flatbed cutter parts and consumables organized

Cool, thanks Chris, that looks awesome! I like the idea of the holes for the tools. I guess you have to thread the top part off to remove them? I find the threads a bit difficult on all those Summa tools.
  8. Keeping CNC/Flatbed cutter parts and consumables organized

Tool changer isn't an option on this thing as it's primarily a flatbed cutter, just has a router module. They're not quite that advanced..... although you can load 3 cutting tools on at once so I guess that's a bonus.
  9. Onyx/Summa barcode help

Okay thanks, will look into the naming conventions and see what's going on. We're running an older version, Thrive 19.
  10. Onyx/Summa barcode help

On a somewhat related note (sorry, not trying to hi-jack this thread) but do you by any chance know of any documentation regarding using different toolpaths/spot color strokes/layers and having that carry through a PDF, Onyx Thrive/Cutserver and GoProduce? I might start a separate thread on...
  11. Keeping CNC/Flatbed cutter parts and consumables organized

Just wondering how you guys keep your collets/bits/tools/knives etc organized for your CNC/flatbed cutters? Our workbench is a mess and it's impossible to keep track of what bits/collets/settings to use with even common materials. We're using a Summa F1612 and GoProduce so at least I can store...
  12. Onyx/Summa barcode help

Yep - this is likely what's happening. Uncheck forward cut file setting for that cutter. (Click gear icon beside the cutter in question on main Cutserver screen)
  13. Adobe / Pantone?

This is great to know, thank you. Will give this a shot.
  14. Prints on clear acrylic

We've done thousands of prints like this. Reverse print on Oracal 3651 clear, back w/ white ink or 651 white vinyl, mount to clear acrylic w/ laminator. Add 1/4" bleed and/or cropmarks for alignment. Make sure your shop is super clean, keep humidity high, shine a light along the edge of the...
  15. Dust under laminate tips?

Can you spray your floors down? Keep air movement to a minimum when laminating critical jobs? (Turn off fans/hvac etc) We run an inline humidifier in our hvac in the shop and still spray the floors down when it gets really dry. We'll spray down our install bay then run a dry mop (wet)...
  16. 3M IJ175 alternative?

You mentioned wraps and then smaller decals. Using a cast wrap film/laminate for smaller decals can be overkill if you're trying to keep costs down. Could you stick to 3M IJ175 for the wraps then move to something like 3M 40C for smaller decals? We've been experimenting with 3M 40C + Arlon...
  17. Used Kongsberg machine

You should consider becoming a merchant member if you're going to push your services. Just sayin'
  18. UCJV300 - Third Party Inks

Interesting. Would be curious who is using it and how it's been performing. I wonder if they also sell a cleaning solution that doesn't only come in shot glass size bottles...........getting sick of buying the Mimaki F-200/LF200 CLEANING LIQUID in 100 ml bottles....pretty ridiculous.
  19. UCJV300 - Third Party Inks

There are 3rd party inks for the UCJV?
  20. Print calculator for wide format & Flatbed.

Yep, and understandably so. I tried downloading and using the trial but all I get is errors in Russian. Uninstalled and moving on..........
