Sorry I've never used flexi (or Graphtec) before so I'm not sure where it would be found. I'd start by looking for machine-specific settings - somewhere there should be options to override/allow device settings like pressure, speed, offset etc. If you can find a way to disable the override...
It's super easy to do. We'll just create the layout in Corel/Composer/whatever then "Create Form" in Acrobat. You can probably have a functioning form in under an hour. (Takes a bit of time to set up fields/drop downs etc)
One thing I'm not sure if you can set it up to assign sequential order...
Can you not attach PDF's to posts? Tried uploading our editable PDF but won't work...so here are a couple different ones we've used over the years (JPGs attached)
This is what I was thinking as I've been through this before with other plotters. I'd check to see that your RIP isn't set to override device settings as this could explain why your test cuts are good but actual jobs aren't coming out nice.
You could try Express Sign Products or Polymershapes, but it's likely that they would just pull from Oracal and will give you the same story. (Still might be worth a shot, though)
We ended up having around 75' feet of crap 8518 over a couple of rolls. Send a full report to our dealer and they sent it to 3M and they credited us the value of a full roll.
If you're getting defective material, bring it to your dealer's attention and they hopefully should look after you.
I have no experience w/ HP and would never buy any of their products....but it sounds like your dealer is dicking you around.
I'd contact HP directly and find out when the part is actually expected and if they are on back-order. If it isn't anytime soon, time to come up with some...
We've had a bit of a slow start to the year but that's okay as long as it doesn't last for too long. Trying to use this opportunity to get a million internal projects/improvements done and slowly putting a dent in them.
Had our best month even in December after a crazy couple of months so I...
^That's amazing, and a huge savings over what we're currently paying for our Mimaki UCJV or Roland XR-640 (even with using Nazdar inks). I think that one printer (1650) could easily replace both of our printers and free up some space in the shop.
Wow, that's crazy!! Well it's really good to know that you guys are having good success with it. I wish I would've held out for a Colorado instead of jumping into a Mimaki UCJV but oh well. It'll be paid off soon and we can look at replacing it with a Colorado.
This is great, thanks Christian. We're in the same boat as you but doing a lot less full wraps. Most of clients are more old school and prefer having just spot graphics on their fleets but the full wraps do come up every so often.
This gives me some good ideas on how to handle those...
Stickers, labels, markers, decals, signs, banners............ our clients all use different terms to describe them.
As long as they pay on time they can call them whatever the hell they want!
Not yet, I switched back to our old Win7 computer so we could be operational while I try to find a solution.
I'm leaning towards just updating the damn thing to Omega 7.0 and being done with it. $800 hit then we should be good until all our Gerber equipment dies.
Hey Signs101Admin there still seems to be an issue w/ hacked accounts FYI.
I've been reporting posts every day, seems like this is beginning to become a problem around here!
This is our go-to combo as well, and I haven't run into any issues yet. We print them on our Mimaki UCJV so don't have to worry about solvent ink causing curling/failing.
Did a couple walls in our house with 3M 40c unlaminated and that has also held up well.
