I have a colorado 1650 and a colex.
That whole setup would be around 300k depending on the fotoba cutter used. The newest fotoba cutter is 150k alone
for wallpaper panels 1 flatbed cutter could keep up with 3 Colorado printers I think. 1hr to print a roll while cutting a roll takes 20min.
Colorado 1650
Fast
Perfect panel length
Very scratch resistant prints
Very Cheap ink cost (I'm at 9cents per sq/ft, pays for itself in ink saving compared to other printers)
Instant cure
Reprint a panel 6 months later and its a perfect match
Full automation available if you need very high...
about 10k sqft in a little over 24 hrs, was around 20 rolls. printed on the Colorado 1650 in gloss production mode which was finishing a roll in under an hr.
average day is 5-6 rolls on the colorado of wallpaper/murals.
I had a bit of similar bunching (on some materials) when my printer was new and I would pull then media at the start of printing to prevent the bunching. Grab the media on either side and pull down hard as the printer does the first push.
Over time the problem disappeared as the platen got...
I've had my unit for about a year now, going 8hrs per day. Seems to be working as good as day one, the instructions say replace filter "as needed - typically yearly". The filters are about $300
I've printed on Oracal 651 with roland inks, looks great after years in TX weather. GF222 for thicker stickers, looks great after a few years. Just about any cheap vinyl will hold up for years using OEM inks. cheap briteline vinyl from grimco great too

I'm curious what signs do you see that suggest a head is going bad or needs replacement soon? Is it canon running a diagnostic on the head?
The printhead cost per sq/ft seems to be around $.03 so at 250sq ft you would've used up $8250 of printheads which goes right along with a couple heads...
I'm at 325k sqft and so far I have not seen any degradation in quality, haven't even done nozzle optimization once. About 110 liters of ink used total but my yellow heads are 25% more ink used than other colors.
I clean weekly at least, sometimes 2x per week if printing more and 0 head strikes...
