Bob, a domain name is not like a business name where you can try to use a name that's already in use and hope for the best. Think of it more like a physical address, that you're renting. You don't really own it, it's yours as long as you don't fall behind on your payment or decide to move out...
i've purchase quite a few domains just on a whim. one for example after an change here on s101, where a discussion urned to potty humor, specificlly how one might fold their toilet paper.... which led to my purchase of PottyOrigami.com
there is a member here... or was, who had more domain names...
for this job i just need:
two 32"x17" prints
Oracal 3651RA (or equivalent)
laminated
i know it's an extremely small job so many won't want to bother with it
it wasn't that i didn't taking the time to do it right, as gino suggested... so thank you both for your posts.
i'm a hard worker, pull my own weight and still have to deal with people who laugh at me the minute i put my hardhat on.
i get it though... a short, old gal in a tool belt, makes for a...
if i can find the plans for this tonight, i'll start a new thread tomorrow with the plans and photos. it really is a nice little space saving set-up.
but for now... here's two versions, one showing how it's designed to make great use of a small corner space.
if you're looking for suggestions.... think i'd like to see the red carried across the back. so on both sides, anything beyond the paint sprayer would be red. it would help the back to be a less cluttered and more legible.
otherwise... nice work!
Most printers in my area won't deal with small jobs (anything under $100), so I'm looking for recommendations preferably an S101 merchant member. It doesn't have to be California, but especially with these small jobs, fast turnaround and timely shipping can blow the budget.
the tiled background is distracting. personally i think a solid color that softly compliments your colors would be a better choice.
however, if you like the brushed steel...screen it back and set the image to fill the browser instead of having it tile to fill.
but i just got this cool rotating tool bench set up!
(no... never got my hand checked. i could move my finger fine and while it hurt, nothing felt broken)
i was aware of my surroundings.... i was surrounded by construction dudes and trying not to stand out.
(and i have this "i don't need no stinking help" stubborn streak... especially if i'm trying to blend in around a bunch of strangers)
but... there were too many obstacle, like having to...
this was work related, hurt like hell, but still... it was funny
i'd have posted this in the Humor Forum, but it look like there isn't one any more.
geeez people where's your sense of humor?
as a hobbyist, you might have a hard time getting professionals to advise you on how to use old hardware and outdated software.
however, maybe with a little more info, you'll get a bite.
1. what kind of stencils are you making?
2. is your lack of knowledge just with just flexi?
3. do you...
I took one bit of the bacon arby's sandwich and gave it to my son, it was super sugary. down right AWFUL!
if you think there's no such thing as bad bacon.... try candy coating it
if i had a hammer, i'd hammer in the morning, i'd hammer in the evening.... all over this HAND.
2 minutes after impact...
2 days later...
2 months later, when asked what happen to your hand i'd say...
"the first rule of Fight Club is... do not talk about fight club"
although the day i...
sounds like you're being set up to be on the hook for ANYTHING that might go wrong after it leaves your shop. 2-3 car washes a week??? nice of them to warn you in advance... heed their warning and pass.
there were plenty of things i found annoying about the old site.... but i'm not a fan of the new one either.
they should have stuck with the old site till the new one was ready for prime time.
being redirected is ok for a couple of week but gezzzzzzz... it's been months and months now!
oh Fred, i'm so sorry to hear Sassy passed, she was so sweet. i felt like i was hanging out with S101 mascote when i got to meet her.
i'd taken some great pics of Sassy, but my phone went for a dip shortly after returning from Florida and i lost everything.
i'm so glad i had the chance to meet...
