I don't buy vinyl from Grimco because I get better pricing from my Fellers rep. I do like the ACM / Max Metal price point from Grimco and have had good luck with it. The problem is when you need it cut... Some locations have a shear and some locations cut it on a panel saw. The panel saw cuts...

Unless you don't stock them use your transparent CMYK foils, no need to purchase transparent spot colors...

Send that crap back. Bent corners, scratched panels that are masked, a jammed panel saw blade that screws up what should be a clean edge and they send it out anyway... Workers in the warehouse and delivery drivers don't care as long as they receive a check at the end of the week. I deal with 3...

Depending on which way it runs, it looks like the material is rippling slightly during printing from too much heat.

You need to upgrade your Flexi software... What version are you running?

Yes, 5600 is a printable vinyl along with 5650ra. Banding is the problem not the vinyl.

If your using professional sign making software you should have some options in your program like this in Flexi. Here are some weed options to make things easier... Weed border, vertical weed lines, vertical split lines, horizontal weed lines, horizontal spit lines, easy weed, etc...

Here in the states we don't pay sales tax on supplies or materials from distributors, but charge sales tax on the end product once it's converted into something like a sign. Here in NJ it's 7% Curious if I'm reading this right, so if you buy $1,000 worth of vinyl from your sign supply house...

One thing you can try as a last resort is a hard reset on the printer. Worked for an issue I had with my Edge 2 a few years back. I haven't had it for quite a while but there is a blind button located on the panel that doesn't have any markings over it. If I remember right you push that along...

You should still be able to rip your files from Flexi to the new printer. Flexi always supported Mimaki printers unless something changed. Go to setup in Production Manager and see if it's listed.
