Quality cast and calendered vinyls use the same solvent base acrylic adhesive.
A cheap calendered vinyl will use a water base adhesive.
For helmets you should be using a specialty vinyl for low energy plastics if you want the decal to stick well.
Did you find a stash? A pipe should have some product. Maybe the size of the bag would help with your decision.
If you decide to put it back; Maybe rub a Ghost pepper or Habanero around the mouth piece.
Compared to that soda can that's a tiny sign.
If you have the lam in stock put it on, if not don't worry about it, road debris will nick it up before it fades
with or without lamination.
You can also hit it w/ a little clear...

Hope it works well. It has a very fine hatch patter like 3951R/A, thought it would be a bit deeper...
