  1. Poll: Are you printing CMYK, or RGB files from Versaworks?

You got something set up wrong over there. Here is the proper CMYK file. There are no greys in the middle and actually it is a little bit more vivid than your cmyk. You can see it since its a side by side pic Other than that i think you should use MAX impact on the rgb files anyway. Looks...
  2. Wondering About Wrapping

Its all about trial&error. Start wrapping and you might mess it up but next time don't do the same mistake. Also try 3M180cv3. Let me know what you think about it compared to oracal.

  6. 3M Envision 480cv3

Not sure what to say about that thread. We love 3m. We are basically selling ourselves as "omg we only use 3m". We really do. Every vehicle wrap we do is wrapped in 180cv3. Never had a problem with the vinyl. And we do 2 to 3 vehicles a day. And the 1080 product? Love it better than anything. I...
  7. 3M Envision 480cv3

Did anyone tried it yet? I couldn't find an existing topic for this. And I am surprised about that. Must have been looking at the wrong place.
  8. Hexis Wrap Gone Bad

Matte white looks awesome but NOTHING can clean it. I tried dish washer, hand soap, alcohol, xyliene, agent orange, kaboom, bleach, windex etc etc etc etc.
  9. 2004 E250 Ford and "Sticky Yard"

The way I scale up every single vehicle is: Measure distance between the front and tail lights. Measure top of the door to the bottom of the door. also measure how much extra you need to print to wrap around from the lights (you should not put any text in there. Just print extra background)
  10. Fastest printer for wrap vinyls with sellable quality

You can order on of the new roland machines with 8 cartridges... 2black,2cyan,2magenta,2yellow. Faster than printers with only 4 cartridges
  11. Printing on Lam

"if you laminate laminate your gonna end up messing with the space time continuum! " :ROFLMAO: I was actually thinking about the same thing. Print on lamination then laminate it. Long time ago a customer wanted a fading stripe from black to clear so you can see his car's color..:banghead:
  12. Wrap Certification

I am not certified bit I know someone who is fellers, pdaa, sgia, lowen certified and he's got NOTHING on me. Maybe I should get some certification. Too bad I wouldn't get paid any better. I design, print, laminate and install and get $14 on 1099..............
  13. Poll: Are you printing CMYK, or RGB files from Versaworks?

Its funny that some of you mentioned that colors pop better in RGB. My boss yelled my face off when I accidentally designed something in CMYK. When he took some time off (2 weeks) I had a project where the customer asked me to print something pink. It had to be super bright popping pink. So...

  15. After a little advice regarding Hexis HX20000

Not sure if Hexis chrome has the same adhesive what you talking about but the chrome was sticking super bad. hard time pulling it off once it touched the material. And the worst is: Primer 94 does nothing when you using hexis chrome! Please do me a favor and check out your hexis product and let...
  16. Chrome wrap vinyls - Which one?

Well.. my Avery chrome just came in. I will rewrap my trunk probably next week. I will snap a few pic to compare the mirror finish of both hexis and avery vinyl. Btw my Avery test piece stayed down on a concave part of my vehicle without coming back up for a whole week. ( vs Hexis few seconds)
  17. Avery supreme wrap matte color films

3M's is too brown???? Not sure what are you talking about. I wrapped two dozens of cars in full matte wrap. Dealt with super picky customers but nobody ever said anything about the matte black not being matte black. By the way 3M has two different matte black. The new stuff looks exactly like...
  18. Window Perf Alignment

How do you waste material like that? Thats how we do it. We wrap the car than we check what to print and print a little bit bigger piece for the window so usually we have like 1" max 2" bleed all around. Not much waste.
  19. Chrome wrap vinyls - Which one?

I wonder what other people used to wrap a vehicle in chrome. After 3M sent me some chrome sample piece what they are working on I wasn't expecting anything good from other companies. 3M chrome was super thick! Probably twice as thick as the ij40! Then I decided to get some samples from other...
