Price doesn't come up for me as it's US. But the price differences would be due to the quadro GPU. Generly speaking the quality if components will be better in a workstation. psu, cooling. Ram. Etc. A lot of pre builts skimp on parts for "gaming" PC's to be more competitive on price. What...
  2. 257 inkset profiles

He use to be here. Got banned for some reason. Great guy though, very knowledgeable.
  3. Computer type

I try to avoid the "gaming" stuff for work. Specwise its the same, but i've found support is better for workstations. I would avoid the 2nd option as it has no GPU. It really helps for graphics, just doesn't need top end stuff - diminishing returns.. This would be similar (slightly weaker...
  4. FC9000 (ERROR) E04017 - Scans mark & Takes it home

Im having this issue which is really frustrating. Im using a Graphtec FC9000 & Onyx X22 cut server It's set up to cut Segment Area Correction every 0.5m The page is set to the max 5000cm (5m) The problem: It'll cut about 15-16 meters of vinyl, read the next mark, then take it straight home...

Above specs is plenty for many years to go. This is the model number: 6E2J9PA Im sure you may find other brands etc, but IMO look for those specs. If you want to budget a little more, get an i7 CPU (make sure 12th at minimum) RAM is what will allow multiple programs at once with a lot of...
  6. Computer type

What's your budget? What software? A "Gaming Computer" is to vague of an answer. As some will be great and some will be overkill. In the 2D graphics industry, we need more CPU / Processing power vs GPU Graphics processing power. To keep it simple, This is what you'd look for. intel i7 or i9 (...

  8. Clear Vinyl on Canon Colorado 1650?

I know it wastes media. This is what i do for light weight stock. i have a pre set size of banner and i tape it to the stock before loading it. Only difference is that have the media profile set so i can open the lid and remove it. If you use something like 250gsm PET film for pullup banners...
  9. Clear Vinyl on Canon Colorado 1650?

There is an easier solution. Use a "leader" If you open the draw, there's instructions with numbers from 1-5. that shows you how to how to put a leader on the stock. this is for "load weak media"...
  10. Clear Vinyl on Canon Colorado 1650?

Simpy use another stock. Then again, all the top brands all have white backing paper. I've never seen clear vinyl on clear backing material. Only clear i've seen and used is clear PET film, but has no backing paper, so the colorado would have issues with it.
  11. Clear Vinyl on Canon Colorado 1650?

the backing paper is still white. no issues there.
  12. Oce Arizona Fixed drop size

Yes you can, if you have onyx (not sure how to do it on other RIPS) Well the easiest way is to print in HD mode. that's a fixed drop size at 6 or 7pl (the lowest) You can manually configure the drop sizes in onyx but there's not enough density on 6pl at any other print speed.
  13. Canon Colorado 1650 FEEDBACK

It obviously comes with Onyx, but you have to pay if you need another licence if you already own onyx.. a little annoying. They'd only encourage that is because their techs will know onyx better or they're onyx resellers which means they all specialise with onyx. But Onyx & Caldera are both...
  14. Web Development guidance - Custom API

The problem you'll have is getting integration to work on all platforms. You'll need to search online for print fulfilment software or something, get demos and ask questions.
  15. Which Flatbed Printer would you get with a extra $50k?

Keep your $50k and outsource to a real trade printer like FireSprint.com. Flatbeds are expensive. Maybe it'll cost you 50k for a cheap one, but maintenance will add up, running costs etc all play a part.
  16. Need Help How to stop phishing emails being sent from my address after email being compromised

What? Of course you can talk to a human. I do all the time when i need help with something. They'll even call you to help resolve it quicker. The chat has the option to talk to someone after the bot tries to help.
  17. Canon Colorado 1650 FEEDBACK

The colorado is on another level compared to Latex. Seriously apples and oranges. It kills latex in every way except no white ink. that's all. But we love ours. it runs daily, it'll do 16hr shifts etc.
  18. Question Oce Arizona 480 GT feedback (second hand)

Most problematic parts are your white ink pumps. once they're swapped over to a modern brushless version, they'll never need to be changed. other than that, ours has been a tank.
  19. RIP question

Thrive is a network licence. So you'll be able to plug the dongle in 1 PC and use it on any pc on the same network as long as the RIPqueue is running on 1 pc at a time If what Balstestrat said is true that all new Thrive comes with 2 printer licences (4 RIP licences / 2 per printer) and 2...
