Trying to do that with reflective would be a PITA.
Just had a thought. Maybe reach out to CK Wraps. I've watched tons of his videos and he's on point.
If he can tint wrap a new F150 headlight without issue I think he would have some tips about that can corner.(you REALLY need to see that...
Affinity for the win, but some claim "it lacks features".
What are those features in CC on which you have become totally dependent?
What did you do before those features were available?
I bought Affinity Photo during Black Friday. Running it through all the things I normally do with...
When I had my Roland I had an ink drip issue. It was caused by a cart that had positive pressure. With the pressurized cart my Roland would randomly barf big blobs of ink on a print.
Can't remember the fix...might have been removing/replacing a few times then running some fill tests...
Adobe can get bent. Don't care if it's the so called "industry standard". They've gone downhill rapidly ever since the debut of their subscription model.
In the classroom they cause myself and my students more grief than it's worth and it's got nothing to do with Pantone swatches.
Affinity...
Good point. Although laminate is a variable depending on state or local laws. In my neck of the woods no laminate is required so I spray with automotive clear.
For rear windows I add a 0.5" bleed then hand trim to that. Doesn't have to be perfect. I can do that faster than bringing the print to the plotter, getting it lined up blah, blah blah...
If you want them neatly trimmed for packing at the retail level set up a CutContour template. Then build...
Supply chain issues are not an issue IF you run your business correctly. We've all had two years to get our s#it together. Learn how to manage inventory or get eaten by a company that can.
I'm a one man operation and stockpiled ink and media. I would rather pay carrying costs than turn a...
The company shall remain nameless. I won't reveal them even if you PM me.
Here's all I will say at this time.
1) If you need fiberglass panels like you see in county and state parks go to the actual shop where they are made.
2) Verify that panels are made in house and said company is not a...
TLDR version:
I asked the forum members to recommend a top drawer place to buy some very specific sign panels.
I went with the highly recommended company.
This morning I had to send an email threatening said company with potential legal action. They have managed to redefine the word...
Gotta say I've never seen anything like it when I had my SP. It could be an electrical issue doing that too. If you do a complete rebuild the printer should be good for years. I kept up maintenance, P/M's etc...on mine and it still printed pretty good after 12 years. C/K head was going out...
Lots of deflection on the C/K head but that's irrelevant, you have a new one on the way.
Since you're going that far I would replace all the ribbon cables as those too are consumables.
Probably wouldn't hurt to replace all the ink lines. You wouldn't want a stray particle ruining the new...
Signs shops are only worth what you can get for the equipment and or real estate. This is because people only shop price and will go wherever thus making the client list and copyrights all but worthless.
You should be able to make them. Laser cut blank, vinyl mask, and a dab of paint. Or..an Edge print on chrome vinyl stuck to a blank or build up with a couple more layers of vinyl.
A bunch of years ago I used to make domed dash labels for antique boats. Process was similar and looked great.
The vacuum on the flatbed in the lab also exhausts to the room. Not much of an issue though with the air exchange equipment. Although in your situation it might be worth looking into exhausting it outside. But then you open a can of worms since you would require an MUA(make up air) system...
Have you run the 720x720 for JetFlex? I use the 1624x profile for JetFlex on my 1624X and the results are stellar.
I would think the canned 1641 profile for your 1641 should work the same.
You may try running a SAV profile like 3M IJ180C or a high quality profile and see if that clears up the...
Tyvek "shoot suits". I still wear them when I use auto paint. Miserable since you sweat like a butcher while wearing them but it's better than isocyanate exposure.
Try making a new black swatch to C30, M30, Y30, K100. At school we call it superhero black, but it's not magic that will cure all output issues on all different medias on all equipment.
Thank you for letting us know about your issues. I'm going to keep an eye on things in the lab where we have a JFX200. So far I haven't had any UV ink related issues, but then I'm only doing a couple UV projects a semester.
One thing our lab has though is air exchange. IIRC it's about 5 - 6...
