Haven't canned anything in a while either. Been vacuum sealing meat and veg to put in the chest freezer. Waiting to splurge on a chamber style vac sealer.
If Trotec was next door I'd run with them. Although at 1/10th the price you could buy two offshore lasers(keep one for parts) and still be money ahead.
If I was doing a dedicated build today:
Floor drain. Hot and cold running water and slop sink.(customers can't be counted on to bring a clean vehicle) Air hose drops. Climate controlled. Air scrubber for dust. Additional lights on the walls. Prep tables large enough to pre-trim, adjust...
I also want to get a laser for the shop and the offshore units have an attractive price point. Here is all I know. Local tech college runs Epilog lasers. Two to three classes a day five days a week. If a rig can stand up in a school environment that's a pretty good endorsement.

When I had my SP540V the I/O card in the computer got wonky. Did all kinds of weird things until it quit. I/O cards are cheap. Chuck a new one in and see what happens. Worse case you'll have a spare.
Check your head height. If it is in the raised position small text 4 to 6pt and very thin lines will print "fuzzy". Not that I would know anything about that..
Ya know I just thought of something my wife does with vinyl. She cuts scraps to use as a stencil then acid etches glassware. Over the years she's made really nice pieces for wedding and birthday gifts.
I've noticed a trend here. It's always price, price, price. Never about problem solving for a client. That goes a long way in retainment. What about supplying products or services online places can't?
For example: One of my clients has an HVAC shop. I do the regular sign stuff, but the guy...
