  1. Print quality vs Setup, 6 color or dual CMYK

I think you'll lose a bit on color gamut, but at the same time, if you're mostly doing outdoor billboards and the like, that's not all that much of a problem. And you don't have to stock as many different kinds of ink.
  2. Contour HELP!!

How big is the registration mark that the thing is printing? How big is the registration mark that the Graphtec expects? That was the issue I had with my setup.

  5. Where are these graphics from?

Give the choice between the "girls gone wild" types and the "library" types, I'll go to the library... They're lower maintenance, a lot smarter, and a heck of a lot better in the sack... Now to see if I can put some of those graphics on my bookbag...

anyone stop to think that someone could be trolling for someone for an easy conviction? If you upgraded your version 6 to version 7 (or better), you can't sell it...
  7. Large format scanners?

Not Even Close. Thinking of opening a storefront, and one of the gripes of contractors in the area is that they have to drive about 25 miles, each way, to get the big stuff copied.
  8. Large format scanners?

Place I used to work had a 36" xerox blueprint scanner. Anyone know an inexpensive solution for occasional (very occasional) large scans, which I'd really rather not involve a 50 mile drive in...

  13. Blue and Back Pin Lines

I'd recommend some 10 gauge or 12 gauge Low Voltage lighting wire. Cheaper than the "monster" speaker wire, and nice and big.
  14. How much would you charge?

All together? Provided I didn't have to do squat for art, no more than 15 minutes set up and run? About a hundred. Plus $60/hour design/screw with time...

  16. Graphtec Craft Robo Pro (CE5000)

Does the thing have a button on it that says "Origin?" Also, buried on the CD that came with the thing are a few manuals. My major grip with my CE5K-120 is that it didn't come with printed manual or setup stuff - I didn't find that until AFTER I had it put together.
  17. just one more rookie question

Yeah, no matter how slowly I have my machine running, it still produces stuff faster than I can print or weed...
  18. Top for light box

Ended up using a screen door (with the glass in) to trace the stuff. Will eventually be doing one about 1' wide x 4' long.
  19. What about Taxing?

Just wondering just WHAT is taxable? And do we really want to invoice clients for materials separately from our time?
  20. Top for light box

Well, I've got need for a light box, so I'm off to Home Depot... Do y'all think I should use glass or plexi? I'll probably be cutting on it some...
