  1. BNI ? Pros, Cons, Indifference?

I can deal with informal barter networks - been trying to locate a plumber to deal with some stuff who needs some vehicle lettering...
  2. BNI ? Pros, Cons, Indifference?

The local sign franchise is one of the seven members in my local group... Already stopped in the place, asking what they'd charge for laminating stuff, and turned out they only had a 30" lamintator (tm Dale). And they didn't seem too interested in using it either.

Uh... SG=Shenggong... I may try one of the dahle cutters...
  4. BNI ? Pros, Cons, Indifference?

    Okay... WTF is BNI?
  5. Rotary Trimmer? Looking for cost-effective solution

Have you had a chance to use one of the Shenggong trimmers? I know some of the chicom stuff is actually not bad... I'm kinda leaning toward one of the dahle trimmers.
  6. Profesional Advice Please!

Yeah, for business cards or bubblegum cards, you can't even _begin_ to go as low as some of the big print shops... They can print them, and sell them to you, lower than your paper cost. Find a good vendor with good turnaround, and add value with the graphics.
  7. Rotary Trimmer? Looking for cost-effective solution

Okay - I'm gonna revive this sucker... I got the imagedge dealie, and it's GREAT for finishing magnets. Not so great for cutting big sheets of paper - I mean, it's doable, but it's also a little unwieldy, and being that it's in several sections, that causes a bit of a hassle too... I'm back to...

are it a photochop file, or are it flat? If you want a quickie lesson in some of tricks you can do in photoshop, pick up one of the lower-priced juice drops sets... and start playing with the layers.

  14. Anybody use a BAZOOKA

Yeah, but isn't there error correction? http://www.cantenna.com/ http://www.lincomatic.com/wireless/homebrewant.html
  15. Anybody use a BAZOOKA

It's basically a directional antenna. You'll still have problems if your line of sight gets garbaged up. Now, this is a little ghetto, but you may want to just run a 200' cable. Doesn't have to be pretty - just has to be - and you can do a lot to hide 'em...
  16. Window painting clown

    holy shit.
  17. Window painting clown

Yeah, this thread is completely useless without pictures... I used to have a bit of an "art truck." Tranny finally puked all over an intersection, and that was that tho... Extremo, I'd suggest ordering one of Dale's Big Squeegees - 26" or 38" or so... Tape a hunka Magnum Magnetics to your...
  18. UPS power?

Yeah, after this weekend, I'm going to go get one just for my Mutoh - The Epson works just fine on a smaller one, but with the heaters, I'm probably going to go 10-15 amps for the Mutoh's... One thing to also look for is "equipment replacement insurance." These guys figure nobody's going to use...
  19. What kind of digital camera do you have?

The cool thing about raw is that you can go up/down a couple of stops _without image degradation_. Digital is NOT as forgiving of over/under exposure as film, and after you get used to playing with the raw images, you'll never go back.
  20. What kind of digital camera do you have?

If you can, shoot raw, as high a resolution as you can. Personally, if people ask my advice, I tell them to buy a camera that's made by a -camera- company, not a general electronics company. Reason being is that the lens, etc., are likely to work a LOT better. Canons also generally have...
