Nope - media was maybe a quarter inch from end of the roll holder thingie - but that was enough that it didn't register...

Okay - it's always loaded media by advancing a little, checking the edges, and then that's more or less it. Now the sucker's spooling out about 6' or so, then reeling it back - and since the reel-back bit doesn't have a motorized takeup, I've gotta help it. The shift-advance/rewind control...

Another suggestion: I'm guessing you're used to "signs" and single-page type of layouts... If that is the case, you may want to sub this out to someone who has done it before (or be prepared to take longer than you'd like on the job). Large-document production is a whole 'nother world...

Well, I flogged heck out of a Novajet Pro (36") for a few years... Gotta use a RIP to get decent color, and it was still an indoor printer.

Are you looking to print/cut, or just to cut? Print/Cut, then I could see getting Cocut or Flexi... (and you likely don't need the full-blown version of Flexi either - but your dealer WILL sell it it you...). If you're just cutting, try the stuff that comes with the plotter. If the 7000 is...
