Corel ain't diggin' the process...
Ah ha! The Man from Guam has come thru! Now I just get to figure out how to set all the little things to a smaller size (rounded a little too much).
Thanks!
If you're printing on fabric, and it is happy with your inks (major dealie...), spray-stickie it to a sheet of backing paper, and print on it with the print head in high position. Use the spray stuff that the t-shirt screeners use.
I'd take it, and be happy. Why?
The other space gets filled with bumper stickers, magnets, or other jobs. All you gotta do is do a little math, and nest your jobs. Win/win.
If you don't have anything else in the works, ask the guy how much a rush job is worth to him...
I use one of the lint-free cloths that come with my rifle scopes. Didn't put anything on it. A microfiber cloth might work nice too. You DO NOT want to scratch it...
Might help if we could see...
If it's too lines, I'd cut a "bounding box" around them, weed 'em out, then straight edge cut above the lower line, hand cutting around the letter that sticks up. Position them together, then mask.
Is there a way to convert every "corner" in an object to a more rounded curve without going through and doing them individually? And screwing up the drawing in the process? It's probably painfully obvious... I've got some art that's kinda pointy here...
Actually, it looks fairly simple, with not that much to fail or go wrong. I'm thinking it'd be a far sight safer than using my current table saw for large stuff...
Okay - tried printing an image from Flexi to my Epson last night... Dunno where they got their profile (which was for the paper chosen), but someone musta been being awfully creative. Used WAY too much ink for the dense black stuff... If you're using Flexi, I'm guessing you really oughta try...
Don't knock 'em - they may not be the first choice for "outdoor signage," but for a lot of interior stuff, the typical "sign" fonts just flat won't work... I love these things.
True - My Epson 9800 won't play outside with the solvent printers, but you can't beat the quality for indoor stuff. And since quality is what we're selling...
Well, there's "slick" photo paper, and there's the stuff with more of a matte finish. And then there's the stuff that looks like, well, paper...
With both the glossy and matte, I had to back the ink limits WAY down...
And how much do you expect to pay the "kid?"
And how long do you think they'll stay around?
Figure on hiring a professional who can deal with both Photochop and Corel, and figure on paying them pretty well. You'll BOTH make more money.
