You first have to understand all the ways a RIP handles black including how black is generated by your output profile based on your settings when you create that profile, and how it can affect what the printer actually prints before you design anything. For example with black if you don't want...
No it does not. If you send it an output value of 100% K that is what it prints providing you ink density setting in the media preset is not set to low. You can print pure C, M or Y the same way. Might be some RIPs can't be set to do that but for RIPs that have Replace Color functions you can...
So what is wrong with 100% HP Latex Black? I set black output value to 100% black all the time and it looks pretty good. Never found much advantage to set the output values to 20/20/20/100 as it looked visually the same, and anything more looked worse because you started hitting the built in ink...
So Magunm does not not supply oms files for the 300 series printers.
Go here and look. https://www.printos.com/ml/#/medialocator
Or create a new media preset with these settings and make a new profile.

The iMac would be way too limited for my usage. With the amount of RAM programs are using now days I don't see how you could ever work with only 8GB of RAM. I have 48GB on my main workstation, 5.1 MacPro and I am always running out of RAM. I don't want to spend anymore on this old box. I pretty...
So far I have not had a problems with 201. But last year I had the problem with 201OAP and now with a roll of 201HTAP that was new in August. I am just not going to trust GF anymore, even with 201. As I never had the problem with 201OAP until a year ago and now 201HTAP. I am sure what ever they...
It is obvious that GF has chosen to change their product. It is what it is now and there is nothing we can do about, as it is now it is not compatible with latex printers. Maybe with the new wiper roller it will work and that was probably GFs thinking. They can make a more profit that way.
You mean $130.00 a roll more for 3M IJ39. But I think I am going there. I should raise the price as it I am way too busy and losing jobs because of price would probably be a good thing. 201HTAP was used inside for point of purchase type things so durability was not that big a factor.
Not likely as other stuff prints fine. So far I haven't had any troubles with 201 but everything else has gone to crap and I really can't trust them enough to order any more of their vinyl.
It is plasticizer migration. A alcohol wipe of the area and reprint looks fine. I am done with with General Formulations and there crap vinyl. They used to be good but no more.
I know, just wish I could find a better price point. I have a lot of customers that want to mount to PVC. I am just not sure I can trust the non High Tac adhesives for that. What is everyones experience with regular vinyls mounted to PVC?
ORAJET® 3164HT, with 83# Liner I assume that is going to be a problem with the Latex Curing heat. Anything else out there that in High Tac in the lower price range like 3164HT or the now unable to use 201HTAP?
All at once in the middle of a fairly new roll of 201HTAP. What the H*** is going wrong with General Formulations. I can't trust to buy their products going forward. Since it was just a small job I wiped the next foot or so down with alcohol and it printed fine. Not something I want to have to...
