I don't think Briteline is just General Formulations rebranded I have never been able confirm that. I have used both and it does not look the same and the cores are different. And, Grimco says no.
Not a heat liner issue. It is a plasticizer issue. And I am pretty sure you would not see it with Mutoh Eco Solvent.
Unless somehow I have lost the OP head but probably not as the area that has been heated when curing the end of a job does not show it when stating a new job.
I used to never have any problems with General Formulations. A couple new rolls of 201OAP were bad and now rolls that have been here maybe six months to a year, 201OAPAE and 201HTAP are full of small dots like plasticizer migration also. I did print a bunch of 201 yesterday and didn't noticed...
With my clients that self adhere air-release is a must.
Might have to try some Orajet 3164XRA but not sure about the water based adhesive. But that is the only media I can find that might come close.
I emailed Jordan about a full credit earlier this morning.
But it would be nice to find a 5mil (my mistake on the 6mil) as I have a few client that self adhere and they really liked the 5mil. I guess they are just going to have to live with 3mil.
Needs to be compatible with HP Latex.
Unfortunately GAN version is not longer compatible with Latex as it cannot take the heat and causes head strikes.
Is there anything else out there?
Are you sure that cheap vinyls getting deformed by the curing heat on the HP is not your problem. How thick is your release liner on the vinyl.
Are you providing enough tension on both the over-lam and vinyl? And are you using the idler rollers so that both the over-lam and vinyl is on at least...
Interesting on the 360 it will ask you to put right side position and the width if it can read/measure the media. Wonder if is preference setting that needs changed. I don't remember have to change an preferences on the 360.
You have a point there. Besides ink starvation, lack of enough redundant nozzles if some get clogged when only 1 printhead is present. This is why I have long complained about this mechanical oversight in the 3rd generation and newer, leading to my comments about not using lc/lm if it is not...
I would not call it backwards since we do not know the usage of the printhead. Only in high printhead usage would I consider your approach practical.
I found the nature of Latex printing to be more like toner based printing that solvent or aqueous inkjet printing. Latex like toner/static...
You might be better off doing a search of all the times (and it has been a lot) this has been brought up in the past, regarding using lc/lm when only necessary to minimize grain and the best GCR settings to use for different situations depending on the final look you need. The third generation...
