I seem to be having an issue with what i think is my laminator.... on any print / lam / cut jobs, my laminate doesnt seem to be really adhering to my media.... if i print and then lam and go back and cut, wherever its cutting the laminate is lifting from the cut edge.... also get silvering...

Quick question...at the risk of sounding stupid... If you are using an air egress vinyl, do you need an air egress laminate that matches...or does that even exist....or can tyou use any laminate and the air egress features still work? Thanks Paul

so, i have the opportunity to get a bunch of free rolls of banner material...made by xerox...colorgraphics...for inkjet machines... Before i go pick it up, can anyone tell me if itll be ok being used in my roland xr-640...ecosolve printer..... thanks Paul

sorry, that might of read wrong....by operating, i meant running the machines.....not the business end.....

So, as i said in my intro, i'm starting out on my own, after 10+ years designing and operating in another shop..... so my questions are for costing jobs...and what others thought are... Is there a formula i should use..(ie like a per sq. ft. per vinyl foot + a sq.ft charge for ink used....etc...

i have great success with the forums at what the font.....simply make a "case" or post...and someone will usually answer within 10 minutes with a usually correct answer.....

ya, ive done my fair share of weed mask, apply:).... ...mostly flat stuff though....not a whole lot of complex wrap kinda stuff...

Hey all, Ive been in and around the indistry as a designer / operator for over 10 years....finally going to do it with myself and a partner...we have leased a Roland XR-640 with the white ink option.....and paired it with a 65" cold laminator....want to do design and signage and some print...

Well, the motor continues to error....but theres no code...nor does it say which motor it is....feed or scan..... just motor error please turn off .... anyone else have this issue? out of curiousity, how much for the motor...

i actually have fresh ink from the xr-640...as a rule...at work they pull the cartridges when they are just over 1/4 full...so i just grab em before they hit the dumpster.... so you think the heads might be ok?...where do i get epson carts...and what kind of cleaning solution should i...
