You need to make an ambient microclimate in the room i.e. the temperature should be around +25C and humidity 55%. The environment is the first culprit when you get grainy prints
The best way to provide a secure remote access is use a router like Asus RT-AC87U with the merlin firmware. You switch an OpenVPN server on and then any PC client connects directly to the router entering to a Virtual Network.
You don't need to pay for rubbish software like LogMeIn or TeamViewer...
It's all about accuracy and difference between materials used or inks.
If you change material (matt to glossy, oracal to avery dennison, banner 440 coated to banner 440g laminated, etc) or any parameter like print mode (dot size 720 to 540 or 1080), dot pattern: stochastic to extended...
Ink Limits is a part of the procedure provided you follow one step by step. You are expected to read ~2K patches once ink limits are set (unless you open a ready ICC profile and change ink limits).
You need to download service manual switching the printer to CMYKMC mode.
SERVICE MANUAL

BTW: If you're going to enter to service mode you need to press a particular sequence of buttons.
There are videos on YouTube that shows how to enter to service mode for...
Load a 1m roll of paper and print REPORT. Once it is printed there should be information relating to IC CHIPS or take a photograph of the report and share it in your message.
This is how your report of IC CHIPS has to look like:

if you have information similar to mine it...
Could you tell me what firmware has been installed into your printer? Go to MENU -> SYSTEM INFO -> FIRMWARE
The thing is when you update a firmware in your printer it gets keys for IC CHIPS. Therefore if you haven't recently updated the firmware your printer is unable to identify those chips...
What's the point at using Windows 10? Install Windows 7 x64 Pro - works perfecly well. Believe me or not you won't get any disadvantages while running your ONYX on Windows 7 x64.
Wow, it's all subjective. If you don't want - don't use it. :) An objective opinion is one of Ukrainian company shared a report of their Roland that has reached 12 milliards shots on 3rd party inks (it's the minimum. The maximum is 38 milliards shots on 3rd party inks).
As for changing a cap...
There might be many reasons:
- scan motor
- pulley (on the left and right sides). You should try to grease pair of bearings or change them. The part number 22175815. Try putting a drop of oil (take the same oil used for sewing machine). I suggest that you use a syringe with the oil. It would be...
I'm not a reseller. If you are going to buy a licence for yourself - lucky you. :) I don't provide any service just help.
p.s. Anyway.... if you dig a little into forums on the Internet you might find a s/n.
Yes. they had a problem with orders in the third quarter of 2019.... I bought spare parts twice for the last month each of them less 100EUR - dispatched and delivered! As for inks - why do you want to buy so expensive inks? Take Marabu... Buy inks not in cartridges, but pouches 1 liters. It's...
Profiling a printer isn't enough! While you are profiling a printer, once you set ink restriction, you should do a G7 test! You may watch the whole performance of pr.Don Hutcheson to get a neutral gray right.
If you Caldera version doesn't support G7 test, you may use a separate software for...
Incorrect! When I decided to have a go at using a Chinese Cap Top + Dampers for my Roland RF-640 - I threw the rubbish to bin ordering OEM parts which were 4 times expensive though they work excellent. All that glitters is not gold! Chinese? - Never!
Well.... I see that you're a Mimaki dealer - Japan quality. I wonder why you don't sell printers which are made in China. Chinese is not always worse than.... If we are talking of a company like Huawei. However there are hundreds small others making a piece of shit.
It's all about how much money a company puts in research and inventions. They make a product that's worth it's money and provide Quality Assurance or they just make a replica of something knowing nothing of the subject.
Two customers is almost nothing.
