Careful though... CM3 does not work with Illustrator CC 2018. I keep both CC 2017 and 2018 on my computer specifically do be able to use CM3, because like other people have mentioned CM4 is ... different. :)
I've run jigs through my EFI 1625 (which the 16h replaces) before without a problem. I think I have a vid on my youtube still showing one running. You do need to be careful when setting the gap height that you do it in the proper location.

Chester's probably got the right idea since it's been bad since day one. I know some of the local guys here have had heater element issues, but not initially... we're talking after 2+ years of use.
I'm somewhat on the boat with the irregular voltage like some of the previous posters. I have a 310 and in 2+ years of running it, I've had none of those issues.

it sounds like a temporary protectant so I would think you'd want it removed.
roll or rigid media? not sure I've seen that error on mine, but I'd say check the margins, side edge and media width settings and make sure nothing's out of whack there.
weird... the lines showing up in Acrobat are normally a display "error" at the particular zoom level. It's been a known issue with Acrobat for years and years. It also should not affect the printing as it's just how it's drawn on screen for viewing but apparently you're having an issue there...
