If you want "stock" letters, then start looking on craft sites and in craft stores. They sell crappy wood letters which you can paint with black spray paint. Assuming you do a better than decent job painting them, they should hold up for a few years maybe.
In the end, as others have...
DTM 100% acrylic paint with a 2.5mm tip HVLP gun. You can also get a Graco True Coat which gets good reviews and requires no thinning to spray latex/acrylic paint. If you don't have a decent compressor, it's probably advisable.
Services = Design/Install/Whatever. Everything else you should probably go with Non-Inventory item.
From there you have to figure out your structure (categories & sub categories). You could do something like:
MDO
- Printed Cast Vinyl
- Printed Calendared Vinyl
- Cut Cast Vinyl
- Cut...
Valuing a business is hard both from a buyer and seller's perspective. A business isn't all that different than a sign. If you break down the individual components (board, vinyl, hardware, etc) they don't have much value. But when you combine everything, it has value. So the value in the...
I honestly forgot the process I used to do when I was working in trade shows. We had jigs cut so we could use spray adhesive on the back of the PVC. Then we'd apply the velcro. The walls finished with Formica didn't seem to need the extra adhesive.
I have a script in Illustrator that takes the linear inches of the item and then uses that times a factor to spit out a cost based on material thickness/type.
I should add the biggest thing under estimated is setup time/time between sheets. Sticking the material on the bed, screwing it in...
Walk into your local trophy/engraving shop and ask them to make some up for you. I do this kind of work basically every day.
Just to be clear, that definitely looks rotary/mechanically engraved. It is not laser engraved. The only reason I bring this up is on rotary plastic, the top cap is...
If you do a search under my name. I've answered this question a few times over the last year or so.
The short answer is: Oil or Latex works. Latex you have to be more selective which paint to use but they can out perform oil based paints. Application is also important as Gino mentioned...
If your main focus is going to be providing graphics to be applied directly to painted walls, you need to step up your game. This means making it very clear what paints your customers should use, how to apply the paint, and how long the paint should dry before installing.
I strongly recommend...
Small part of a bigger job. I'm looking for someone that can do a small job where they print and contour cut on some etched vinyl.
Dimensions will be something like (2) - 15"x45"
Thanks in advance.
In the future, you really should use tape and adhesive or even just tape in this circumstance. I wouldn't count on Lexel being 100% cured after 24 hours.
I have an IS6000 and I've never considered it a "router" due to the spindle being so weak. Mine is all of 90W and I believe their highest power spindle is 200w. Your average CNC router has something like a 2-5kw spindle. My guess is you need to make 6 or more passes instead of 3 to pull this...
I misunderstood that you had it cut to size. If they cut it to size, it should come without any edge damage. The whole point in paying them to cut is so you have a finished product.
I also deal with Harbor and I've dealt with other suppliers. I'd say the #1 issue with handling sheets like...
