  1. Onyx and HP Internal Print Server

What happens, if you use the "hotfolder method"? If this also fails, it's definitely a Onyx issue.
  2. HP 630

Very interesting and good to know.. Thank you.
  3. sp-540 Neither head fires at all after replacing manifold on black/cyan head

There aren't many active components to go bad on the carriage boards on "pre Ricoh" Rolands. As far, as I remember it was a opamp that buffers the thermistor and the sensor. That said, it will likely be a transistor on the headboard, or in this case the main board. (by the way, the transistors...
  4. Need Help Corel X4 can no longer make an .eps file that Roland Versaworks will accept.

Versaworks doesn't accept files, that are smaller than 1 inch.
  5. HP 630

On first sight, it looks like a feed problem. But then, there are no signs for it on the control print. I wonder, if it could be ink pressure related. The L630 (and new L700) don't use intermediate tanks anymore, so the pumps need to pulse all the time while printing to keep the ink pressure at...
  6. Roland VS-300i not printing yellow!?!

    Was it Max3 ink?
  7. Roland cut sheet after otput size

Could be a bug in Versaworks. Is it up to date?
  8. Summa S2 T160 rough edge cuts

Ah yes, it's called origin of course, not offset as I stated...
  9. Roland XC-540 no heads firing

Do you have 41V on the head board?
  10. Summa S2 T160 rough edge cuts

Do a blade setting with offset, lateral and longitudinal. If the offset is off, it can chip the blade immediately. (Offset for tang. blades is not the same, as for drag blades. If it's off, the blade gets pushed through the medium at an angle. (Could happen if the small timing belt in the head...
  11. Need Help Connecting a Roland Sp540v to computer/VersaWorks

I'd reset the printserver with the button to have a defined starting point.(subnet)
  12. Summa D 140 first cut missing

I don't have a photo, but when I remember correctly, its a black round piece of foam rubber with a diameter of 5mm and a thickness of maybe 1-2mm.(the problem: it gets compressed over time) It is mounted in the center of the magnet. You need to remove the coil out of the magnet to get to it.(and...
  13. Need Help Connecting a Roland Sp540v to computer/VersaWorks

It doesn't work this way with a SP-540. There is no such menu to set the IP.. You either need the software from the printserver company, or you need to set the IP via the ARP Ping method.
  14. Summa D 140 first cut missing

Is it a Summasign? If yes it's not a o-ring, but a rubber damper inside the magnetic actuator. Nreds to be disassembled to get to.
  15. 700W owners: White alignment problems?

There is a upgrade called "feed axis spring". We normally install it together with the enhancement kit. Is it installed on your machine?
  16. Roland sg2-300 post head strike

Replacing a head DIY isn't a good idea on a VG/SG, as you need to enter the head rank in service mode. The quote looks OK, except that you only wrote about problems in black... so only one head/damper needs replacement. And the travel expense is a bit steep...
  17. Discussion SAI Flexi and Production Manager prints smaller than file size

Every Rip has should have a size compensation feature, because most printers print too short, due to media expansion in the print area with subsequent shrinkage.
  18. Roland sg2-300 post head strike

When a VG/SG has a hard head crash, it can happen, that a head is shifted at an angle. This can keep the filler sensors from functioning properly. I had a case, where it overfilled one channel, causing drops on the vinyl. I could imaging a possible underfilling as well. You should be able to see...
  19. Xc540 error

Sounds like you didn't do the limit pos. Initialize correctly.
  20. 700W owners: White alignment problems?

    Try a different vinyl.
