  2. Cricut "Competitors"

Glad to see you still rockin it out old school Arlo. I would definitely have an easel and be working in front of the booth. Just seems to me that would draw them in and start the conversation quite well. I'm taking a different route into the golden years, starting a rum distillery in my...

Wife has us on the fast metabolism diet. It's a book her cousin used and had success with. Yesterday and today are meat and veggie days. Tomorrow we get to add fat. Lost almost 40 pounds since Jan cheating the whole way. Laid off it for a minute, now back at it. Want to lose another 30 and I'm good.
  4. Vinyl adhesion to screen print ink?

If it is printed correctly vinyl will stick fine. If ink lifts with tape the sign has not been printed properly.
  5. Question What type of material to Create Helicopter (or Aviation) N numbers?

Depending on what the use is. I have done plane #s just so they can move it around between hangers using cheap easily removeable vinyl and supplied paint mask for when they are doing the permanent rendition. RTA vinyl graphics are usually supplied for instructions, id, etc for interior. Paint...
  6. Best media for wall wrap, long-term, indoors

I want to say phototex but not sure about texture. I have only used it on smooth sheet rock. I have several long term jobs in the field and one large poster that has been on three office walls in many years. No mess left behind and can be reapplied again and again. Great stuff. If it does indeed...
  7. Just getting started

None better than Dan the man.
  8. Something other than PhotTex?

Maybe a cover of thin clear plastic? We've done that for areas where little kiddies (and big ones) tend to be touchy feely.

Say hello to crazy, lol. As i said, IF I were in the market for a printer. I am not. Nor do I forsee me being in the market for another ever again. Just not an HP fan to begin with.
  12. Is Flexi the only RIP for HP Printers?

What a shame. Their software is my favorite and my go to daily design program. That alone would make me scratch HP off my list if I were in the market for printers.
  13. Is Flexi the only RIP for HP Printers?

"There are several certified RIP's, Signlab isn't one of them. " Sounds like a great reason not to buy an HP printer. Among others.

Be willing to bet the people at cadlink can hook it up.
  15. Anyone have experience with Nazdar 705 series inks?

Not that particular one but I ran their inkset in my seiko for years with excellent results. Nazdar is an excellent ink company.. I have been using their inks for decades in screen printing.
  16. Artwork release

I'm an old fart so here's another 2 cents. She is price shopping. It is the norm of the day. Somebody will do it for her cheaper and do it now to gain a new client. As soon as she finds someone 2 cents cheaper again she'll be gone from there as well. I do not give films or files for free any...
  17. Artwork release

I tell them you are paying for my time, skill and equipment to create the files for production in my shop but I would be happy to send them to you. Then I send them the CDL file. No Signlab, no opening the file. Now if they are nice about it, I provide them what they need and wish them well.

I rarely use app fluid any more. I also use good old five pointed stars for registration marks on all layers. You can lay each piece to align to the stars easily.
