  1. Bad Experience, Print, Laminate, Cut, Help Please

While people use the Big Squeegee with much success, it is not a replacement for a proper laminator. It's great for laminating small prints if you don't want to re-web your laminator, but I'd recommend getting a real laminator ASAP.
  2. Bad Experience, Print, Laminate, Cut, Help Please

I'd bet the nesting changing position has to do with one of two things: Versaworks set to center on media, and the media width changing. I would recommend NOT centering on media for print/cut processes. Also, make sure the media width (set via pinch roller positions) is at least as wide on...
  3. A little warm today.

Dude, were you down here in the valley or what?? I sure hope it wasn't 115 up by you!
  4. Inexpensive Air-Release Vinyl Options

3165RA is great stuff. If you don't want to lam, it's got enough body to be applied easily. 3651RA doesn't work so well for this. 3651 is better for print/cut stuff since it's thinner.
  5. Yellow not printing

Yep, swap dampers. Also, when pulling ink through with a syringe, disconnect the line before the damper, and pull the ink very quickly. I've seen air bubbles stay trapped with a slow pull.
  6. Somebody at Ford is getting a kickback

Better not look at Chevy, Dodge, Nissan, VW, Fiat, Kia, Mini, BMW..
  7. RV vinyl removal

Hourly. A couple weeks ago we removed a wrap with cut lettering underneath on a 53' trailer. Total removal bill was almost $5k.
  8. Somebody at Ford is getting a kickback

Nope, OW is alive and kicking full steam ahead.
  9. Grrrrrrrrr

Anytime you export/import files you're opening yourself up to possible issues. Especially with Corel & .eps, .ai, or .pdf files. The way non-native programs deal with files is sometimes goofy. Why are you opening an .eps in Corel? Best to just use Illy.. Also, I recommend asking...
  10. HP Printer recommendations

    Definitely not the TJ then..
  11. L25500 :: non-stop substrate jams

Posters print beautifully. Our L25500 (bought as a used demo) had a problem when it arrived. Once that was fixed by the tech, we started printing immediately. Plug n play. I'd guess that many of the people who have issues with this printer (or any other printer, for that matter) either...
  12. HP Printer recommendations

    Tj8600.
  13. Here we go again.. The true test for the LX850 year 2 .

I believe the 54 tech visits.. Our tech may as well have his own desk next to our 800 here lately.. Is the Zund done too or does it have a couple more weeks(!) of cutting?
  14. 3M 8518 lam issue

You should post heat your wraps to ensure proper adhesion, yes. You should not have to go over every square inch of it very slowly to get manufaturing defects out of the film.
  15. Shop Truck Wrap

    :banghead:
  16. Arlon 6000XRP vs 3m 180c

My Ford is better than your Che.. oh wait, wrong argument.
  17. Extremely Fast Wide Format

    Everything's aqueous.. where's the durability?
  18. 3M 8518 lam issue

We've seen this on quite a few rolls of 8518, about 6-8 weeks ago. While heat does dissapate the mottled look for the most part, we shouldn't have to take that extra step to get a sellable product. Our supplier & 3M switched out everything that was bad.
  19. Shop Truck Wrap

Honestly, I'd built a solid logo first. Figure out what you want to do for branding, and incorporate that into the wrap. I feel like you've done things just to do things. No reason behind any of it. Check out this link for some inspiration...
  20. Dell doesn't allow customization anymore?

I just looked again, and on the business side you can customize.. to a point. I'm wanting to get an XPS 8500 (we have three already and they work great). I can add Win7 Pro, but that's where the "customization" ends. None of the video cards Dell is offering have two ports.. We've had...
