I do banners for the school and I didn't realize when the gal sent me the names with the pictures she was simply guessing on the spelling. Good thing I had only printed a few of them...of which 2 were wrong. Since it is a large, on-going job, I reprinted at no cost. However, going forward I told...
Thanks guys! I’m in a small
Town of only 7,000 so every sign I make is known by everyone in town. A lot of people know I made the sign so that’s why it makes me mad. My friend asked me about it yesterday and said it looks horrible way too small and I made sure to remind him it wasn’t supposed to...
Well, I just don't believe they were not straight. He's crazy. A guy with your experience could probably apply them on this truck with your eyes closed.
You should have him cut your grass then find 3 blades that he missed and refuse to pay for it.
They guy has to be lying - I find it really hard to believe after 51 years you couldn’t apply the graphics straight on this truck. Easy! And your cut vinyl looks way better. I also am a big fan of that lime or apple green you used, looks so much cleaner! Guys is an idiot!

When my son was a senior in 2020 he had graphic arts class at high school. The local Chevy dealer was giving a $100 Amazon card to the kid who created the best new logo for them. My son won...which I was glad and also expected people would assume I made it for him, which I didn't. Anyway - the...
WOW...that is insane. If I was the next guy and he came in with that story, I would run for the hills! I agree with the other poster...even at 1/8" I would be shocked if anyone noticed, unless they measured.
Was this a personal vehicle design or a business vehicle?
I had a gal opening a cafe bring me her logo and ask me for a sign replacement for a large lighted sign that is 30-40' in the air. I told her I don't do that so she called another shop and couldn't afford it. She came back in and her father-in-law made her a nice 4'x6' wood frame. I met her and...
Holding it up sounds difficult, how can he keep the print straight and hold it up at the same time? I think doing it on the table flat is easier...that's what I do or I put the vinyl on then just trim it...all done flat on the table.
I put the vinyl on first then use a single edge razor blade.
Depending on the application I sometimes just trim it in 1/8" in. Obviously some full coverage signs need to be full coverage, others like my baseball signs don't need to be and they are moved around and dragged on grass (by the high...
Once I sent something back because it was a larger order because of the contour cut. Once I sent photos and they reprinted. Twice I ate it and just reordered.
Evan Gillette - don't send the snowmobile guy to me...I hate those kind of customers, I had 1 call me Monday and one stop in...
Believe me, if he gets a $250 Chinese laminator like I have because he can't afford a nice fancy one like you have, and has to figure out how to set it up so there isn't static and bubbles, etc...he's going to pay you whatever you want. I was warned it would take some fiddling around, and it...
