  1. Price Beatdown

    15 pass van WITH roof for $2100 is NOT $9 a sq.ft.
  2. Best Wrap Training/Seminars - Thoughts?

Kids these days get to take graphic design classes in High School...rather than Logic or Ethics...so they probably won't be taking "20 years" to learn to design, if they pay attention. Not knocking designers (of which I am one) but It didn't even take me 5 years to learn to design well. You have...
  3. Best Wrap Training/Seminars - Thoughts?

That IS odd..since one of the requirements of being Fellers Certified is that you order your materials from them...if I recall correctly. Maybe it was different then.
  4. How much for that wrap?!?!?

"GUYS GUYS GUYS!" Kustomguy is at $10 a sq.ft. ProWraps is at $6.65 a sq.ft. I'd do it at $8 a sq.ft. Customer wanted it done for $1.10 a sq.ft. The thread was about the customers expected price vs. what ANY of us would do it for.
  5. Anyone wrapped a Ford Transit?

Was pretty Easy If I recall. I just used my gloved hand on those long smooth rounded recesses at the bottom and the license plate recess will need a little heat.
  6. Laminate

Gold Leaf.....By FAR...Gold Leaf! because it's the most expensive to do a wrap in..so it has to be the best.
  7. Is this a crazy low bid for a wrap?

I'd be around $2500 on that sq.ft. flat job with standard rivets using 180c. Doesn't include design or removal though..and they have to clean it first..and if it's oxidized it costs extra for a ghost off cleaning. But I don't sub any part of it out.
  8. Buying a Laminator in 2 Days. Which one?

You don't have to. There's tricks to piggy backing when switching.
  9. Someone else's marketing/customer policies...........

It's a pretty fundamental principle in life...not just in business. People should pay for their mistakes...PERIOD. I'd make sure they understand that principle.
  10. Plastic Post & Panel System

4everproducts dot com They have those vinyl sign frames.
  11. Easy, but can't find this font

LOL I love your Business Card filing system.
  12. 90 Seconds or less?

My Fellers Rep stops by around once a month or 6 weeks which is cool. He usually brings samples of stuff he thinks I might like and asks questions about ways they may need to meet my needs. Grimco Reps have only been by twice, but they call EVERY FRIDAY after they send out the email blast of...
  13. Us tech laminator

All those laminators (US Tech, Enduralam, Smart Man, Rigmajet, ZJB, FMJ-ZJX, etc) are ALL the same Asian made laminators that are re-branded by companies here in the US. Even the Royal Sovereign is. SEAL is made in the US...which is why it is Top Quality and Expensive. I bought a RS after...
  14. 3m certification

So the "vinyl" AND "lam" were both bad? How so? What was wrong with them?
  15. 3m certification

I know a LOT of folks on here like to BASH certifications. But it can't hurt your business by getting certified...it can only help it. Do I think certs guarantee quality...no. Do they guarantee more business...maybe not. But can you learn anything in one...probably. Might it help when someone...
  16. 3m certification

Not sure what relevance there is because they "created the vinyl 1st" But for the other reasons you listed, I'd say 3M IS the most recognizable brand to your average "layman".
  17. Price Beatdown

Really? I've seen your "special" price of $2,495 for a van all over the web. Thought that was a fair sale price. Now your regular price is $2K? Dang...are you forced to those prices due to local competition or is that all your customers can pay? I'm just trying to get my finger on the pulse of...
  18. Hi from California

You need tension pulling (evenly) on both sides of the pinch rollers, and as stated above, lower heat setting may help and better material for sure. Also, on banner material, I've tried about 8 brands...and finally settled on ZEELON. It has a 1,000x1,000 Denier (high thread count) which helps...
  19. Roland SP-540V Banding Issue?

Haven't tried 20/20 but I couldn't be happier with my Solaris inks for my Roland since I switched from Ecosol Max. I would recommend switching if you aren't in warranty anymore. WAY more affordable too.
  20. Wraps are dead. My work is done.

Or a small mirror on your shoe.
