  1. Know your customers going in.....................

You can still demand payment. Doesn't mean you'll get it..but they still owe it to you. What do the letters spell? What color? Size? Maybe somebody in here will take them or some off your hands at a good price. I had that happen, I did trade for a furniture place. Tons of signage etc. Then after...
  2. Solid Color Wrap

If you don't have experience wrapping on compound curves, I wouldn't "practice" with Matte Black. You can't handle it the same way you might with regular wrap vinyl & lam. Just my opinion.
  3. All wrapped up

LOL I stand corrected. How could I have not realized that the magnificent masterful installation should have been attributed to ProWraps. Forgive me for trying to defend such a Juggernaut in knocking down all misconceptions of how much wraps should cost or who is qualified to do them. You sir...
  4. All wrapped up

Did you even look at the photo close??? They even did the door handles good. The quality is unmatched for hundreds of miles and given what he had to work with...I'd say you're just jealous of the positive attention he's getting.
  5. thunderbird

Google it. I did the same thing last year. You'll get walkthrough's and other such helpful info.
  6. why does my Outlook refuse to send emails to certain addresses?

Check the size of your SENT folder. Is it over or close to 2 gigs? If so..that's the problem. Soon as a folder is that size...you start having problems. I can't fit in the sent folder so it doesn't want to get sent. If that's not the case there are tons of other possibilities.
  7. Best Wrap Certification

If a customer calls 5 different shops for a wrap, 1 of them says they are "xyz" certified and the other 4 when asked say they are not certified and try to jump through hoops explaining why they don't need to be...you have to see it from the ignorant consumer's point of view. If prices are all...
  8. Edge to Edge Printing/Full Wrap Noob!

So you have the the cowboy hat and boots and think you should just jump on the bull? Sounds like you haven't even seen the process done before but want to attempt it yourself. Just a bass ackwards way to do something. Not trying to sound mean, but there is a certain level of respect given to a...
  9. Wrap Template Sales People

Yeah, I was called by Tearin last week. He wanted me to "update" my software. I like the product but told him I'll buy it when I'm ready. He called me the next day and started in as if he forgot he called. I reminded him and he said "is money the only thing holding you back". LOL I'd hate...
  10. 4 over

I'm sure TONS of companies monitor this site. It's a smart thing to do considering the folks that are on here. If you want your finger on the pulse of the sign & printing industry...I can't think of many better ways to do it.
  11. How can you patent...

I'll be honest. I've used Knifeless Tape...and liked it. But if another company makes a product that works exactly the same but costs WAY less...I'd be an idiot to stick with the more expensive product just because they had it first. UNLESS the cheaper one is from China, in which case, on...
  12. Great way to start your day.

That's why sight is a blessing. We didn't do anything to deserve it and who can we blame if we don't have it? I would say the best person to ask that question would be somebody who is blind and loves God anyway. Sight is a blessing not afforded to all. There are no guarantees in life, I'm...
  13. Wrap vs. paint job

I'd have turned that job down the second I saw the truck.
  14. Help with pricing

I would think that would be have been a part of the process BEFORE making a large equipment purchase. I don't know...maybe that's not how people do it anymore...but sometimes I'm just baffled reading posts in this forum. I'm not against asking questions...but golly, some just seem to be outright...
  15. It's come to this. Drumming up business

What do you say? Can you give me an example of a typical conversation you have with them (assuming you even get to talk to the owner). I was going to send an employee out to do the same...but don't want to ask him to do something I'm not willing to do.
  16. Oraguard 290 Laminate Shrinking Badly

I agree with that...but he kept saying "we". I have 3 guys that handle the laminator & a couple different installers. You're probably right about noticing the difference...I was just stating what the symptoms looked like. I've never seen Cast shrink that much...ever. It would be tough to...
  17. Oraguard 290 Laminate Shrinking Badly

Sounds like either you may have received a roll of calendared (210) or whoever laminated it used a calendared by accident. Sounds like a calendared vs cast problem to me though. Human error is a possibility is all I'm saying.

Just visited signportfolio site. Nice and clean stuff. I don't CNC in house and was wondering how you mount your cut text to the substrate. Foam tape, silicone, or what? I may use you for cut stuff...I would just mount my own elements. I've got the brushed metal and offsets etc. Thanks.
