  1. Anybody used the New 1608HS Mutoh?

Has anybody in here used the MP inks or the new NON UV Hybrid Flatbed by Mutoh?
  2. fluorescent

Pretty sure the Gerber Edge can do those colors...not sure how well it would conform though.
  3. Don't you LOVE when this happens

My reply to them would be, Yes it is a problem. I've already ordered the materials according to your approved layout.
  4. Learning to wrap?

You may need to take a road trip to a course, but they're out there. Every vinyl manufacturer has their own trainings as well as a few independent installation institutions.
  5. working with matte vinyl

3M just came out with 33 of their own now too. A not as many blues or reds as Avery but they have Hot Pink :)
  6. Box Truck Wrap Issue?

Generally one would look for advice or a "wrap school" BEFORE they start wrapping. There are many things going on...with a "simple" box truck. 1st of all...using such narrow strips allows for more mis-alignments. Rivets are definately objects that effect the install if you don't attack them...
  7. Inventing new juice,

Been using Vinegar for quite some time. I'm not sure what's new about that...in fact...that's gotta be one of the oldest ones there is. Or is this a joke?
  8. Out of town installation

So you would do a VW Beetle at $2.50 a sft and a box truck at $2.50 a sft.? Just wondering.
  9. Made in the USA vs. .....

Yeah, but 3x the price for banner material isn't anything like 3x the price for a banner.
  10. Made in the USA vs. .....

My thoughts...If your cost is .12¢ per sq.ft. and thiers is .36¢ you're talking about a 24¢ difference per sq.ft. So if you are charging $5.50 a sft. for a 4x8 your difference is $176 vs $168.32 That's less than $8 difference for the banner. Is that profit margin really gonna make or...
  11. So it has come to my attention that....

No offense to the girls in here...but his was a VERY girly post. Think about it. Read it out loud in a girls voice. "Do sign guys hate garment screen printers?" add some gum chewing sound effects and a little twirling of the ponytails while you cock your head sideways as if you are asking...
  12. Homemade CNC router built out of....

2 Things. That was feakin awesome...and can we say too much time on our hands?
  13. Sign Suppliers

LOL. Look that customer in the face and ask them if they have a printer/plotter worth thousands of dollars and the know how to run it. Or if they expect you to make them a sign and NOT make any money. They apparently don't understand the difference between a roll of blank vinyl and what it takes...
  14. wrap design critique....

I like the shadow Blind camo in back, but tone down the effects inside the text. Otherwise...good to go.
  15. Lam on Plotted/Reflective

Sorry, I do Print/Plot reflective for the PO PO and was in that mindset when you mentioned lamination. I didn't think someone would be considering laminating pre-pigmented reflective I guess. :)
  16. JV3-160SP up for sale - make me an offer!

LOL at the 220 cartridges stacked sky high. They sell bigger ones you know.
  17. Getting started. Need help

I don't think it's so much a "a huff" as much as it is them "slapping themselves on the forehead" when they see someone starting out where they most likely did and realized what they went through. Also with that knowledge is that it's not as simple as just getting started. Perhaps some of us get...
  18. Lam on Plotted/Reflective

Just about as reflective yes. It will get dingy/foggy (lam) before the 10 years. But the ink on the reflective won't last that long anyway. It will fade too. I'd laminate it no matter what though. Wouldn't want to reprint reflective if something happens to the print.
  19. I hate GoDaddy

I take it you aren't a web designer. That statement above is HATED by web designer. That's like my customers saying, why can't you just push a few buttons and make my logo with a differnt name? Well...because there are gradient blends, drop shadows, contours, transparencies, and oh yeah, the...
