I wouldn't use vinyl if I could get away with it because it shrinks. I would steer toward a polyester fabric material such as phototex. Doesn't shrink and you dno't need to laminate and looks awesome. There are other brands I just can't remember right now. I'm sure someone here can tell you...

Another useful shortcut is CTRL D. (duplicate) So you'd select your object, press ALT(copies object) & drag object to desired location, then CTRL D to duplicate what you just did.

I don't get that?! Who cares if it's free. It's a soda-pop advert as a restaurant sign. That would make me not want to go inside because I don't drink pop, but if your sign was up, I'd give the place a try.

Kind of unfair, but kind of not. lol Never trust someone else to measure something for you, or in your case tell you it's the same size. They could be dyslexic, dumb and confuse cm & inches, or just make a simple mistake. Unless they are a great person, it might be difficult to get any money...

Do the Tiffs ever have black boxes as well? or just the PDFs? If the TIFFS do..that's VERY odd. I try to convert PDF to TIFF whenever possible (rips faster) and I never have problems, but sometimes PDF's do strange things like your example shows.

Man, the font I was envisioning was right in front of me this whole time! It's Duke from Lost Type Co-op. It's almost a direct copy of Hoefler & Co.'s Tungsten with the prismatic/convex/chiseled included. Lost type has some really nice, modern looking fonts.
