.. look for "determining your hourly rate" link.. you can use to figure out the hard costs and how they come down to hourly rate.
If the shop is floating deposits to other work they're in danger of failing. Best solution is to get accurate hard...
We used to spray clearstars solvent clear on that material with fantastic success using an airless or hvlp. Used 5 gallons a week. The water based had drying issues in winter and spring for our region.
Both it did a nice job of gloss and abrasion resistance, solvent gave good face to face...
I've had the best success using this model... Post your top labor rate very clearly in the front of your shop. Include the minimum order fee and proofing fees. Include the copyright symbol real big, with a sentrnce like this:
"All art created for client consideration is the exclusive wholely...
Why not shop for a US supply? Is your market price point really so low that no one locally can make these? In my area stainless channel letters are top shelf items. Shops fight for this work, but no one cuts prices below Gemini levels.
So either your market is so disturbing that premium work...
Those green arrows point to the alignment tabs yeah? Nice idea.
So are you wanting to machine cut the app tape and the liner all around the finished graphic.. ? That seems to be what I'm seeing..
If so there are two ways.. test the various app tapes for suitability.. but you'll want a thick...
You haven't addressed HOW you got these to the wrong size. If you had precut the sheet before mounting then it's your bad. Measure twice cut once.
If you relied on the old printer to print trim marks it may be out of calibration along the feed axis. Easily can be .125" off from that.
Rolands...
I've had to pinch the gap on the olfa light weight blade holders often. They make them with a broad tolerance and that gives the tip a lot of wiggle. A quick pinch with pliers while there's a blade in the knife will correct the flaw and prevent the blade undercutting from shifting.
A lot of...
Based on that thinking.. The other option is to buy your own device. It's really worth it because you can profile whatever media you want, when you want, and your can adjust to environment variables. Allows you to fine fine your rip. Color profiling is NOT a do it once thing. It's ongoing.
The...
Keep working that head. Here's a tip. Underneath the machine is a hole.. below the capping station. It uses a slotted tool to manually screw the capping station motor up and down. (My buddy threw ours out, so I cut a slot on the end of a piece of 3/8" nylon rod. )
With POWER OFF screw the...
That's the same tech as 3Ms old HSRA street sign laminator.. they sold for $1800 for 4 ft and were the best dang gizmo, even when we got our Orca laminator. We used the thing every day. We took it on site to put graffiti lam on signs at 40 active light rail stations. Laminating in field got...
I was going to give you a detailed reply but coffee reminded me that you have several variables still..
Did this issue just start?
Was it printing good before?
If so, what is different now?
Have you reinstalled the media library?
its only a freaking sign!
Off the cuff I'd be inclined to look at internal printer buffers and data stream issues.
Any stall in the print pass will cause a visual defect from modified dot gain.. the defect is merely a symptom of an underlying issue.
its only a freaking sign!
use d50 (5000k) lighting, look for a color rendering index (CRI) of at least 95. Most florescent lamps at d50 will be around 85 CRI. But higher price lamps will get to 98.. The CRI is the percent of colors the illuminant will properly render. It's very nice to have this kind of lighting...
If the soaks and flush didn't clear the issue you will need to replace that printhead. But first we if you really have ink flow thru those channels...
. do you have full dampers and can you pull ink thru manually with a syringe attached to a spare cap top? If you have ink flow, but no print...
Run the compatibility wizard in win 10 with your output software and see if it will auto detect the proper setup for your devices. If not do as VanderJ said and manually set the .Exe to run in a prior version. I'm assuming your not using any 3rd party adaptors or serial USB converters to make...
I do a lot lot lot of reflective removal. My fuel station clients use it everywhere. So I tested the time to do each type of removal to better our site time.
A trade magazine was going to do an article on it... But we found that it all comes off about the the same, it comes of about as fast...
