When this happens to me with my SP300, it is usually a case of the material not feeding off the roll correctly. Make sure the plastic rollers in the inner cardboard tube are well positioned in the tube. I am having a problem just now with a roll of Rite Media. I think it is wound too tight on...

Thanks Doug, If a person wants to minimize inventory, which is usually a good idea..might as well carry the good stuff. Just charge accordingly. Some might appreciate the cost savings of lower quality vinyl on an indoor application. Cheers! Ken

Well, yes. I am a Corel(X3) guy. If colours are wrong, I tweak in the RGB mode... Not very difficult. What works best for you..is the obvious thing. Corel Canada...Cheers!...Ken

You know, within these walls, there are MANY people ( with licensed software ) that you can send a file to..they can tweak, peek and squeek those files into any format you desire. As long as it is a win-win..well.... You just need to ask..it is legitimate for you to ask another member to convert...

Hello Bella. For interior vinyl, you can get away with the lower quality vinyl, usually rated for 3 - 5 years. It will last longer than that because it is not directly impacted by sunlight and variable weather. Make sure you are applying to a vinyl friendly surface...usually an oil based...

I have a ribbon cable for an SP 540..cheap! $20 bucks plus shipping. Never used..they sent me the wrong one and no return was necessary...So ,if it is of use to you..let me know. Ummm..not sure if the Mylar cover strips included..probably, I can check if you are interested. Ken

If you have Photoshop you could use the magic wand to change the colors easily. You could also use the trace feature in Corel X3 to vectorize the text (if you dont have the font) , edit the nodes ad nauseum ,then make any color you wish. Cheers! Ken

Keep an eye open for an SP300, I love mine..great for the kind of jobs you're thinking about. An amazing machine when matched with the right software. I use Corel X3 and the Roland RIP, Colorrip v.2. Cheers! Ken

Look for something called convert strokes to outlines.(In Cut Master) Ken

In Corel X3...Launch the Quick trace..when it gives you a satisfactory outline of the object. ...copy and paste a new one ( delete the interior parts)..then expand it a little to your desired size...position as necessary. Cheers! Ken

If Readability is not an issue..it is difficult. There are no duplicate letters in Southern Cali..so hard to say if it is a font...I suspect it is a one-off..hand done. Good luck...Ken
