HP is way more scratch resistant. HP is great for canvas and wallpaper... For photopaper/photo printing your quality will drop and be grainy on the HP. There will be a downside/upside to either printer for you! Is buying the 365 and using it for wallpaper/canvas/non photo quality prints...
Nothing wrong with having a "Debrief" so long as it's not about pointing fingers. "So charlie was laminating the 2 rolls upstairs and he used the wrong type of laminate, it cost us $600 and hours and hours in time, so next time we have a job charlie will be sweeping the floors!" Doesn't go...
At this point, I'd stay away from the FB550.
They announced end of life / support on it... It's good until I believe the end of 2024? so 3 more years... but I may be off on that date. From there finding parts might be hard... You wont be able to get OEM ink, etc. It's slow, old technology...
Youre in Canada. Anywhere that takes plastic. Will take coroplast. You just have to tell them the type of plastic it is and pack it neatly for them.
You're in Victoria so I don't know if it's different... But we have a garbage transfer station here in Vancouver, I can load the truck up with...
I would talk to the non grandson, if you're having issues I'm sure other vendors are as well. Maybe the owner is blinded by love and doesn't realize his grandson is screwing up his business.
Can he easily go elsewhere? If not..m bring it up with him as well. I wouldn't let a customer talk...
I feel like you need to be a giant to reach those top rolls... That's roughly 50 lbs and way above my head. We use a system similarly to the one on the right. You take up 5 ft of floor space... But you can stack 20ish rolls high for every 6" x 5 ft space. All the bareilly used ones good near...
Just because you can do the job quicker than before definitely doesn't mean you should charge less... another pitfall with charging by the hour.
When you got a Flatbed printer and didnt have to print on vinyl or apply the vinyl, did you charge way less since youre saving on material and time...
Just charge per man hour. Why charge $100 for the first guy then 75 for the next? Is the second guy slower / crappier? Only doing 75% of the work the first guy is doing?
How often do you guys charge by the hour? We only do that for removal and stuff we can't estimate. Most jobs we calculate...
Summa just doesnt want to support it. Roll cutters arent "Meant" for diecutting because you need to nail the settings bang on... But once you perfect it, they work really well.
Search youtube for Summa flexcut and you'll see tons of people doing it with harder shapes than this one even...
You asked if anyone has actually had something happen because of it.. so I gave 2 examples, as did another user.
We've been a screenprinting company for roughly 25 Years now... We also deal with tons and tons of paint and chemicals. A screen printed sign can be dry to the touch... But the...
Yes. We do cop cars all the time. Including re decalling repaired ones. They come straight from the repair shop to ours - one was put on and painted 2 days before coming to us. The vinyl went on ok, then next morning we get a call... Lots of bubbles. We goto their shop because we figured our...
Depends on what you do. If you're just using it for vinyl...even using the most expensive vinyl, Saving an extra few percent of vinyl will take years to pay it off.
If you're doing substrate cutting, it makes more sense.
And my super expensive is in relation to Flexi providing it for free...
If a product takes a month to get in, how is buying a month supply hoarding?
You don't buy enough produ t to last two weeks then delay all jobs 2 weeks while waiting for material to get in, that's just bad business.
It's not just shortage of labor causing the shortages... It's everything.
How is your guys aluminum supply? We were told boats getting out of China are so delayed right now. I ordered a skid a month ago and it's due to arrive mid June. At the same time I ordered a skid from our secondary...
The shop vac is a 240 volt shop vac... So finding one that works might be hard. Our tech says he's tried a few and the machine always randomly threw errors about the suction being too low or too high.
Sucks when hp charges $600 for a tiny $30 shop vac doesn't it? I doubt we'll ever need to...
Buy a rack mount ups. We have a ups for out flatbed, and one for our two latexs. If the latexs can both be on at once... The s80 shouldn't be a problem!
https://excessups.com/ these guys are great. Send them the specs of the printer and they can recommend a refurbished ups and give run times...
Use a low tac application tape and don't let it sit on for weeks and you'll be fine.
We used to get pre printed vehicle packages we were paid to install.... They were 180 vinyl with liquid laminate and they came pre masked. We never had an issue with the liquid lam coming off.
Hated the...
I think it leaked from a Chinese lab.. I have no doubt USA/Russia are developing Chemical weapons behind eachothers backs, but theyre not reckless enough to leak it by accident, or on purpose. China was very protective and didn't let anyone from WHO or USA In for investigation / testing when...
Hmm. Trump was elected president at the end of 2016...suicide rates went up... then when he lost it in 2020, the rates went down...coincidence?! I think not. J/k. Figured I'd add fuel to the fire :)
345,3023 deaths in 2020 according to that list. CDCs official stats state 385,000 in 2020...
