  1. Is this possible? LED back lit pvc letters?

It is an exterior sign. Rick, 1/4" clear is more to protect the led's, which are backlit. The sign will stand off the wall, some where around 3", using studs in the 1 3/16" materail, and spacers.
  2. Is this possible? LED back lit pvc letters?

I have a customer that is looking for some custom letters, and the orginal specs were back lit with brushed alum faces. I had a letter made of brushed alum with pvc backer that I did as a sample for an interior letter job. The customer came back and loved the look, but now they asked if it was...
  3. Fire Engine Sign Pricing...

Great advice Gino. Your right on, as usual. The one thing that I never saw was the overall size of the sign, unless I missed it. It appears to be about 12"-15" tall x 6' long. The colors that you used were red, white, black and gold. Based on that size based on the number of colors, I...
  4. Engine Turn Bling Bling

If you edge seal it. I did some from fluorine and they faded out in 3.
  5. Engine Turn Bling Bling

And I've found that it takes a little extra time to weed. Those "turns" tend to tear, so I make sure that I pull it easy enough.
  6. Removing old graphics from acrylic sign!

+1... I had to redo the graphics on the side of a water tank truck for a local fire company. When I looked at it, the thing was empty, so the corner came up super easy, so I thought that it would be a piece of cake. I ordered the new vinyl, and went back about a week later to do the job...
  7. Rant for the Day. Verizon, talking about you!

Yep...It's not which one sucks the most, it's which one sucks the least. I'm about a week out from changing my service from Verizon Wireless. They are just too high. I have (3) smart phones and (1) basic line (that is just a phone that is never turned on, and my bill is $240. I call them up...
  8. Where can I get brushed alum channel letters

Hey, guys. Anyone know where I can get reverse brushed aluminium channel letters with LED lighting? I got a quote from Direct Sign Wholesale, but they don't offer true brushed aluminium, but a "brushed alum paint"...
  9. Before and After I'm starting on

Are the Abbott Station letters printed? I love the shading on that. Nicely done.
  10. Vinyl application boxes...

Hey, guys, What are you guys using for a vinyl application tools box? I have been using a couple of things, and I think I'm about to make another change. Originally, I had a large rolling box, that I picked up from Sherwin Williams, but sometimes that just seems too big and bulky. I just...
  11. Not liking the new site design.

No, just looking at it on the browser.
  12. Tools for the job.

:ROFLMAO:Wow, that was good. I needed that after the day I've had, well, having.
  13. Not liking the new site design.

The biggest issue is that on my cell phone (droid), it won't let me log in for some reason. Also, what I don't quite get is why are some posts red, some blue? And how do we know if the post is in a premium or public section?
  14. What to do with Blades?

I use an old soda bottle with the lid glued on and a slot cut into the lid. Works well
  15. PDF proof wtf

+1. I had a designer (that I do a good bit of work for) send me a pdf file, and I asked them if they needed a proof, and they said they didn't, the file was ready to produce. So I import it, and cut it from some material that I purchased by the yard, because to buy the full roll would have...
  16. Price Guide...

http://www.signwritersusa.com/guides.html I use this, but as a reference. I also use http://www.estimatesoftware.com/ , but I have the old version, where you have to purchase the "plugins" for what your wanting to quote out. One thing that I do like with the estimate is they have the...
  17. Red Hawk Designs

:thumb: My hats off to you for taking the initiative on getting what a lot of us recommend to new members. You will also want to check out Dan Antonelli's logo design books. Well worth the cost. I reread them at least 3 times a year. Welcome from the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
  18. Save $120 - Variable Speed SDS Rotary Hammer

Check your local pawn shops. I picked up a Milwaukee hammer drill for $60, and it had only been used a couple of times at the most.
  19. Flex face

Are you sure? I have never seen a flex face without a tension system. What keeps the screws from just pulling through the material?
