We currently use the raster system for braille, however we have been getting asked for photopolymer signs quite a lot recently. Is it true that you can not achieve a rounded braille "dot" using the photopolymer process?
It seems that quite a few architects are now spec'ing the photopolymer...
Don't get me wrong, the laminator works, it's just a VERY entry level machine. laminating full rolls of vinyl, get ready to pull your hair out, the tracking is really bad! I haven't noticed any issues that I would attribute to the lack of tension bar though.
Also, when I called up Seal for...
We have the 54el and the height gauge may as well not even be there, it's so inaccurate that we don't even look at it anymore, I eyeball the space between the rollers and adjust as needed.
i bought this machine because I thought I was better off with a low end seal than a no name machine, and...
The longest someone is on hold with us is a minute or two while we either go to a quieter place to talk, or go find the person to talk to, a live person always answers the phone. If someone doesn't have the patience for that, I don't want them.
I'm not 100% sure this will work with a fountain fill, but can you send it over to versaworks as CMYK, then use the "special color settings" to output the CMYK as your desired spot colour? i know it works great on solid colour fills, but i've never tried it on gradients.
I can't see how the USMC logo can be copywritten, as far as I can tell it should be in the public domain, just like the flag and other national government symbols, your tax dollars pay for the Armed Forces, therefore the armed forces logos should be public domain no?
I ordered in 2 rolls of the 7063 which is also black. We mostly use it on the back side of painted acrylic signs, so it will be sticking to the latex paint, hopefully it works out, I will make a few tests in the shop before we send any out.
Has anyone used this tape for installing general interior signage? We usually use 3M VHB tape, but one of our suppliers carries the tesa tape at about half the cost, we would use it mostly for interior way finding type signs.
Anyone me have real world experience?
Gotta love the software-as-a-service subscription model! You pay all this money for a product all these years, and at the end of the day you have nothing to show for any of it, you can't sell your software to another shop to try to recoup your investment, you stop paying and all the information...
Im in Canada so we won't have the same suppliers.

als, not sure if grimco in the states sells the tru-stock brand as their house brand or not, but it is also a good choice, the adhesive is fairly dark and it is very easy to remove, not air release...
Arlon digital vinyls have a very dark grey adhesive, and they are air release. I would install on the outside of the glass so the sun is hitting the white side to minimize the effect of heat.
We have one leaning up against the wall for the last 2 years, I bought it and hate it. I can do basic trimming of decals and prints about 10x faster with a good safety ruler and a knife. It's very difficult to make small adjustments to the trimmers, such as when you are trying to trim a print...
I think the ones from Roland allow it, but I'm not 100% sure on that. I know there is a way to have the printer print and cut the job in smaller batches, which you can then advance the previous set onto the take up while the next is printing, but it does require babysitting
